I did that once as a host. I was thinking, "Oh Crap! what do I do?, Oh well ..." and entered. It didn't end well.

Also, you cast Power Within and then realize you can't heal yourself.

I pull it off most times it happens. Of course, I never go directly from the boss room to firelink. I always have 20 estus stocked up from the nearby bonfire.
