The Undead Merchant in the passage leading to the Depths sells them. So does Oswald, if I remember.

I know there is a guy who sells them deap in ghostville right? I have been wacking on the hollowed dudes right before the bridge no luck. Can I get them from someone not in ghost town? I am fairly tough I tried to just out run the ghosts to get to the merchant but they ( like 50 of them)got me after a bit. Am I screwed? I have killed all kinds of things but the wolf is giving me a bit of a hard time after 4 or so *** kickings (got him down to half then he freaks out and kills me) I realize I need to go the lando route but cans find any way to do so. thx.

I will try to find oswald again. Looks like he is on the roof where the fire bomb guys were? I will try to find him again. I went to where the gargoyles were couldnt find anyone, i cant even remember where the bell was. thanks renegadecop.

Let me tell you how to get them, in an easier method:
The Hollows don't drop Transient Curses. The Ghosts do, but that's an invalid point for now. Also, yes, Ingward in New Londo sells them, but once again, that point doesn't serve for too much now.
From Firelink, go up to the passageway leading to the Burg. Instead of going to the Burg, follow it straight down. If you opened the shortcut, which was the door, you can go straight on, and talk to the merchant at the end of the passageway. She sells you some.
You know where you ring the first bell? The guy who is in that tower, Oswald, sells them too.
Edit: Do you not remember it? If so, I can tell you as well. I only realised you posted after writing all that above. From Firelink, go up the elevator, which you should have used before. Then, just follow the stairs to the left, and keep going up. Inside the bell tower, on the roof, Oswald will be there.

The only things that drop he transient curses are the ghosts themselves.
You can find 2 transient curses right before the bridge on a corpse. You can buy a couple of transient curses from the female undead merchant in the aquaduct in the firelink shrine->lower undead burg shortcut.
If you have exhausted all these options, then you will either need to get the cursed Artorias sword (boss weapon made with Sif's soul), or get cursed by basilisks/Seath. Yes, Ingwald (the guy deep in New Londo) sells transient curses, but he can be difficult to get to if you can't kill or even block the ghosts.
I advise you to bring good item discovery when killing ghosts so that you will have plenty of transient curses should you die or ever wish to return. It also increases the odds of obtaining 1 of the ghost weapons, which are also cursed and thus can be used to kill ghosts.

BTW that's not where u ring the second bell. So if that's where your headed don't bother with the ghosts go to the depths or the back way into blight town

I have personally never seen Oswald sell transient curses , only the female undead merchant and Ingward

yeah i found oswald and the grumpy dead chick as well, he didnt have any t-curse but he did have a little somethin i found interesting...inditment? lol I need those..do they work? I was exploring the depths for the first time and some chap invaded my exploration with some fire **** on my backside. I am not suited for pvp yet I just want to enjoy the enginering of the game. ..anyways I indited his ***. and I bought a few more for the guys that will follow. typicaly I stay undead but I had to kindle sooo, here come the pains in my rear. does the inditment serve any kind of revenge? or do these guys just kill the revengers like they kill me..fire to the backside?? Whats up with all the pyros?? seems like sissy fighting to me. be a warrior, grab some steel and see who wins. on well I loose again. thanks y'all
