My instincts still take over when I get backstabbed. I'm like that old guy who sits out on the water to relax but can still catch a fish when he wants to.

I adjust my playstyle to what my enemy is using, and what I'm using.
Whenver I have the Gold Tracer out, and my opponent is using a spear/halberd I almost entirely rely on dodging hits until I get close enough for a BS or a free hit
I'll probably just 2-hand my DSS for the entirety of the fight club, because I almost never go for the BS with that thing.

Killing people with a pickaxe? See that makes so much sense here. People will always need miners, even if your mining souls by killing people.
