Good Dexterity Weapons...

Hello folks,

I'm looking for good weapons for Dexterity. Can you recommend me a good melee and a good distance weapon with higher dex requirements? And maybe also where to find these weaponds?

Balder Side Sword: Very well known weapon, which some may say is overused. Great reach and easy to grasp moveset, as well as good dexterity scaling and power. Also, is very useful for counter attacks.
Location: 25% chance drop from sword wielding Balder Knights, in the Undead Parish, or the 2 in Sen's Fortress.

Painting Guardian Sword: Slightly less known weapon, which has even better dexterity scaling, and causes bleed, but has a slightly lower base damage, and a very short range, but also a faster attack.
Location: 25% drop from any of the Painted Guardians in the hall in Anor Londo.

Gold Tracer: DLC only. A very well known weapon, some may say overused. Has a great base damage, fast attack, a unique moveset, and causes bleed. The only negative is the short range.
Location: Lord's Blade Ciaran. Will give it to you, along with the Dark Silver Tracer, in Artoria's arena.

Dark Silver Tracer: Has the highest critical hit damage in the game, without 10 humanity on a Chaos Rapier +5. Has the best scaling in Dexterity in the game. Has a short range, and low base damage, but the scaling more than makes up for it.
Location: Mentioned above. (Gold Tracer location)

Ricard's Rapier: Has a high critical hit modifier, a fairly good range, and insane counter damage on the strong attacks. Has very good dexterity scaling, and a pretty fast attack. May be hard to use for newer users of Thrusting Weapons.
Location: Sen's Fortress, in the posession of Prince Ricard. When you get out of the internal part of the fortress, go left and up the stairs. When you can, don't go to the bridge where you can jump to the Giant, but go right. Kill the Steel Knight, and go down the ladder. Follow the path, and kill the hostile Prince Ricard, who is in Elite Knight Armour. In the room behind him, there is good loot too.

Falchion: Very high speed and damage per second, as well as good scaling and base damage. Has a unique strong attack, which is useful against enemies with 0 poise. Has a slightly shorter range than Ricard's Rapier.
Location: Can be found on the corpse near the Poison Swamp in Blighttown, near the Blowdart Sniper.

And that's all I can think of. Please let me know if it was helpful.

All that said RenegadeCop, and in my opinion, the great scythe (in catacombs) or the lifehunt (but care with bloodless)

Uchigata is one of the best katanas in the game.

Painted Guardian Sword is under appreciated. That thing has a lot of damage and speed.

The Shotel is the pride and joy of the dexterity builds. It has the ability to turn Havel's Shield into the world's largest paperweight.

A spear. Any kind but the regular.

Great Scythe and black bow of pharis (in the forest) if you want ranged. And I mean ranged. Ridiculous range

Though it may not sound like a Dex weapon, the Flamberge is amazing if you have the strength to use it. It gets a B scaling in Dex and the two handed R2's break most peoples poise while the attacks build bleed. Other than that the Great scythe, Falchion, Chaos blade and Estoc are all good options.

Murakumo is a great option if you're going for a dex/str mix.

Chaos Blade (PvP mainly, but you can avoid taking damage by mainly just BS and Riposting in PvE)

Murakamo (needs a lot of str though)

Gold/silver tracers

Lifehunt Scythe

Quelaag's furysword

Winged Spear is also an underrated good option (PvE anyways) weapon for any dex build

Uchigatana/iaito

Great Scythe, strong, viable, good moveset that can be swapped around to your leisure, epic running R1, can be buffed, has bleed, long range, quick attacks, strong parries and backstabs. Great Scythe is your best choice. Or Falchion. :|

now I have the Quelaags Fury sword +3 and I must say wandering or ambling through the cathedral of Anor Londo is a pleasure. Knights look out! I like you!

Don't forget to have 10 humanity on the top left to maximise damage.

I'm just prepairing for the O&S-Boss! Oh dear, I will need a lot of humanity because I will lose this battle not only one time!

Like the chaos upgrade weapons, humanity bumps up the damage, it caps at 10. Place down a white sign and help some people, everytime you help beat a boss you get a humanity plus you'll get a bucketload of souls and it'll give you an idea of O&S.

Oh yeah oops.

Did you kill the titanite demon in anor londo? He'll drop 2, he can be cheesed with a bow and a bucketload of arrows. I presume you got the 2 in the chest in the room after siegmeyer and there's at the back of lift at the start of anor londo. Later on you can trade for 2 from pako the crow.

The Sword has +3 at the moment. I still lack the material needed for upgrading (diamond titanite?)

By the way, how can I put such a sign at the bottom of other players game/world?

You got the white soapstone from solaire? Waaay back after you beat the taurus demon. Just use it near the bonfire, your sign will appears in other players games and they can summon you. Just curious have you ever summoned anyone?

Yes, I killed this guy the way you said but unfortunately I didn't make my way down to the floor where it was and instead I preferred to died in front of a knight. So my diamonds were gone!!!
Is there a way of getting them back? I desperately need more!

Ouch, nope they're gone. always safer to snipe him through the door next to him. There's more to be gotten later once you beat O&S on but no more in anor londo.

Ah yea, I remember, I have such a stone in my inventory.
And how long does it usually take to get an invitation for a fight?

I never used the multiplayer features. (I always was afraid of it)

Depends on how many people are around at the time, what are you playing on and what SL are you? consoles are more active, and anything up SL 40 is usual active for anor londo.

My char has a pretty high level, I'm afraid. Guess 71 or so.

Another important question:
Can I repair this fancy sword? Not that it is as with crystal stuff. No repair possible!
If so I have to save it only for bosses.

Only crystal can't be repaired so belt away with it. 71 might be a bit too high but give a go anyways, see what happens.

I will try this today at home.
