"Hammers?"

This is more directed towards PvP, although I'm sure they'd be just as viable in PvE as well.

How rare is it to see these weapons being used, honestly? I'll see one upgraded chaos or lightning once in a while. But no people who legitimately invest in strength ever use these guys. People tend to go for the biggest, baddest-looking weapon. Damage output is always thought to be key. While maybe, just maybe, this group is a more than viable direction that strength builds should take. So many complain about how "slow strength weapons are." Well then try the Club with it's A rating in strength scaling! I've never seen anyone use a club outside of a starter Deprived fighting the Gargs. And I don't believe I've ever seen a mace or morning star either, outside of starter Clerics. There must be more people out there somewhere giving the Hammers a chance!

i love them!!! i use the giant smith hammer and andre's hammer the most since they look pretty awesome and have infinite stunlock, the reinforced might better but i just love the look of andre's hammer.

You talking about the little hammers???? Most people don't know to use them, you got to admit the moveset is very bad. However since the nerf to greatsword stunlock, these weapons are more useful now because they can break 52 and even some of them (Reinforced Club and smith's hammer) can infinite stunlock. Still they can be easily parried and they're aren't so useful besides R1 spam.

the safest thing you can do is r1 then bs their parry attempt, you could also delay your r1s and not get parried but that can get you parried sometimes. the moveset kinda bllows yes but the infinite stunlock thing i think it's fair because of how short and easy to punish they are.

I used a reinforced club in coordination with a rapier and was able to lure a lot of people into bs's out of my club's r2. It would actually hit them from an angle often, leading into a bs, and if not, they would block at awkward times(not knowing how to handle hammers) and then get bs'd.

The club and other small hammers have very bad movesets, and don't have great range at all.

I'm becoming quite fond of the Pickaxe, greater range than normal, thrust damage, infinite stunlock.

I just think when people think strength, they think "big".

Prolly has to do with aesthetics more than anything.

I always knew Hammers had a nasty tendency to stunlock. That coupled with the relatively low stamina consumption could be deadly. But they just look so STUPID

Small hammers are pretty good weapons, not anything I'd bring to a duel against someone really good, but they have their niche and can be quite effective. You just need to know when to attack and go for the stunlock.

They're AWESOME! I recently discovered how the reinforced club is powerful.


And I love the look of Vamos hammer. Looks like mjolnir. Its a shame it has such low damage

I like Butcher Knives. All that range coupled with the advantage of the clubs.

Reinforced Club is the only hammer I use, it has a Stunlock and it breaks poise very quickly; not to mention bleed. Bleed Stunlock is really dangerous stuff!

I like the warpick - it's not the best but I like how it looks.

That's probably why I always avoided them, just thinking "they look dumb." People who want a strength build want the big beefy tools ;D

My Strength/Faith build has always used a Mace.

It looks completely badass with and without SLB.
