What is the best weapon upgrade path?

I think I already know how this poll will end up, but I'm posting it anyway out of curiosity.

BTW: I voted Normal and Divine.

I voted normal. For versatility.

Especially since now elemental weapons have been nerfed into obscurity at high level PvP almost. Plus normal weapons don't have the annoying pzzzt or ffhffffd sounds of elemental weapons

Normal, Enchanted, Chaos, and Crystal got my vote.

I always thought that magic/enchanted weapons were kinda under powered.. I mean they do pretty much the same damage as divine/occult weapons with scaling, but don't have the extra effects...

Though they got nothing on the awfulness of raw, that was an awful mistake that from made, raw as a path would ave been actually really useful had it gone to +10

Divine/Magic I don't like because they seem inferior to Occult/Enchanted due to scaling. If I need a Divine weapon I can just revert the Occult Club I pick up in Anor Londo.

^ I think Divine is good for the Catacombs, but it's not as useful in the other areas.

Raw is actually good during about the first half of the first playthrough because it can be maxed out early. Also, I think it's a little wierd that it stops at +5. It's 5 levels behind everything else if you think about it. I think it was simply meant to be a begining game upgrade and nothing more.

The damage difference on most weapons between occult and divine is actually nothing you know...

Magic im not sure about, but it's probably the same to be honest. I still feel that magic and enchanted got a raw deal, probably because they don't have the old mp regen that demons had on crescents.
