Gravelord and Chameleon Empty Gravelord and Chameleon

Post by Drydwir Mon Feb 25, 2013 6:38 am

I decided to give a try to the Gravelord's covenant. So yesterday I drop a eye in the Royal wood. As I was waiting for an invasion, I get bored and try the chamaleon spell. The black smog around me was still active when I transformed myself. Does that mean that the invaders can spot you more easily ? I'm just curious...

Chameleon doesn't hide your buffs and stat effects. Gravelord creates a sort of black smore around you, this is to identify you as a Gravelord and to make you easier to find for your invaders.

Also, for people to invade you they must find your Gravelord sign, which is placed exactly on the spot where you're standing and refreshes it's position as you move around.

It's a good idea to go to PvP hotspots, like Township (since you're in Royal Wood) and stay in area with a lot of traffic, like bonfires etc.

Gravelord and Chameleon Empty Ring of Fog is better

Post by Paragon Mon Feb 25, 2013 10:50 pm

Ive only gravelorded a bit and it was after I left the forest hunters but I always liked using the ring of fog. since your hosting the rings effect on you is greater because as a phantom you blend in less with the ring on. If the area youre gravelording in is dark (forest, tomb, abyss) then the gravelord aura isnt as noticible. You just wait till you get invaded then run off and hid then sneak in for a kill. be careful as in the abyss and tomb youll need some form of light with you. I try to get them with a OHKO backstab using DST and HW. Its dirty but its part of my roleplay for that character.
