Dex Pyro Build need help with the last 20 levels

Hey guys

I´m a SL 100 Dex/Pyro, but im not very active in the arena, and most of the times i host. So i see no point, staying at 100.

So this is my build:

And my max. is around 120-125.

So in which stats should i pump my souls?!
HP 45 -50 ? - i dont think, thats a good idea. 5 sl´s for around 100 health? ...
Att 16 - 19! - I want 5 spell slots, for a 2nd tempest, or fire surge/power within
End 32 - XX, idk ^^
Str 20-28 ??? So i can use this as a Quality and bring some vareity in my playstyle, but most of the time i´ll stick to my balder side/uchi/great scythe or rapier ...
40-45 dex! yes for faster fireballs and Kick+Combustion combo

So i´m not sure, what should i make?

I'd bump Dex to 50 and the rest in End. I just love to have high End on a DEX build

^hahaha i got a thing for even numbers... no but seriously, is 50 DEX unnecessary?

-1 more point in endurance gets you the hollow thief's hood. Or you could use the painting hood. Something is better than nothing imo.

-The casting speed reduction is "noticed" from 40-45 dex. The most notable number is 38. Anything after that is gravy. Here's a video people seem to have forgotten about:



I think the rest is up to you man. I think you'll find that more attunement can also be useful. But then again, my favorite builds have lots of attunements.

Are 5 levels in hp the 92hp worth?
Or strengh ? ...

and with the headpieces, i mixed a lot but nothing really fits for my character (i know crown of dusk is good, but im a male char ... looks aweful :/)

- 45 Dex
- 19 Att
- Rest in End (will allow you more freedom in weapon and armor choice)

I stuck the Dark Silver Tracer and Mask of Velka in there with the additional weight. 50 Vit isn't a bad idea, but I think you'll get much more enjoyment out of a better performing build (maxed casting speed and stamina) and the increased freedom in equip choice. But you could cap End at 40 and get Vit to 49 instead, if you like. I like to have 50 Vit myself, but it's really not that important.

If you want to go for the 28 Str, I think you'd need to sacrifice the other things you considered. The main reason to have a 28/ 40 is the Murakumo, and that thing is heavy! So you'd need to spend the 8 points in Str and the rest in End. It would be a decent build too, though.

So you can choose between 45 Dex and 19 Att or 28 Str, and the rest in End either way, I guess. That's what I'd recommend!

I knew bout diminshing returns, but isn't it worth going to 50 on STR build? I didn't know that doesn't apply to DEX

The diminishing returns on AR stat scaling bonus are the same for Dex and Str (40 is optimal), but some Str weapons require more than 40 to wield 1-handed. That's why you might want to go above 40 for Str. But Str is also special since you get 1.5x your Str stat when you 2-hand your weapon, which means you can get optimal scaling with less than 40 Str.

- If you want optimal scaling 2H, go 27 Str
- If you want optimal scaling, go 40 Str
- If you want to wield a weapon 1-handed that requires more than 40 Str, go to the amount you need (say: 58 for Smough's hammer!)

Going to 50 will allow you to wield all the Str weapons 1-handed except Smough's hammer (those requiring 50 being the Dragon Greatsword, Dragon King Greataxe, and Grant; all the others are less, except for Smough's).
