Anor Londo, Painted World, 4 Lords Areas, Kiln.

Burg is fine for absolutely any range. Well, assuming you're a darkwraith at lower SL's, I invade constantly with my SL20. But anything can go in terms of hosting for higher levels in the burg.
Also, you'll find lots of invaders in the painted world and duke's especially.

Hmm, maybe I just had bad luck today, tried to invade and get invaded in the burg and it didn't really happen. I did notice prior to CA that Township gets some nice activity but a lot of Japanese players.

Catacombs seems to have some good range, at least in my experience. Also the forest.

The burg should almost always be active, but I guess it may depend on the day/time of day. And yeah, Township is good, but has lots of ****.

60-70 has always been hit and miss for me. Its too far in between imo.
To get invaded?
Forest, obviously.
Township has been active at about any soul level. I think a lot of 50's would be invading you there.
You might see a couple invasions in dukes, but don't hold your breath.
Demon Ruins might be a decent spot once and awhile.
As far as the burg, it seems to me, that everyone is either super low, or sportin their optomized 100-120 builds.
Personally I think that range sucks to host. While hosting I see the most action at 40-50 and 100-130. By action I mean constant. Past 5 or 6 months it seems like everyone is doing the "Limbo Dark Souls"...ya know, how low can you go? lol.
If I need to go to ng+ or ng++, I always stay around 35-45 before I level up because of this very reason.

Ah, I wanted to go up to 100-120 anyway but I wanted to PvP regularly along the way. Thanks for the information everyone!
