Durability=how long it takes an item to break. The bigger the number the more resilient the item, the smaller the item the more brittle

Durability is the amount of damage your weapon or your armor can withstand before you have to repair it. You can buy a repair kit from Andre.
The only way for you to summon a NPC is if you have interacted with them beforehand, an example is that you have to speak to Solaire or Lautrec before you can summon them to the Gargoyle fight. There is also Mildred who is an invading NPC and if you can kill her in Blight town you can summon her for the boss fight.
^EDIT:Someone is wearing the shadow set while posting today, you sneaky ninja.

By default the game is capped at 30fps. I'm used to it, it's just in certain parts that I get slowdown on PC and as for changing to a higher fps with dsfix... it's caused me nothing but problems.
