I use the dragon greatsword +5 alot it will stun even dragon Kalmeet but you don't get a lot of shots so I keep Astoria's greatsword +5 at the ready

The nerf was a big benefit to my Claymore use, it made me mix it up and use every bit of its moveset to the fullest. I'm better with it now than before the nerf, and I'm glad it and other greatswords have fallen out of favor as dueling weapons, because now fewer people know how to deal with it.PlasticandRage wrote:Before the nerf I'd have said the Demon's Great Axe. I don't think anything's wrong with the Claymore, except that it's overused, and actually I don't even know that I'd say it is anymore. It's relatively fast, doesn't weigh a ton, doesn't have much of a stat requirement, hits hard for it's weight and stat requirement, is easy to get, has an extremely functional moveset for several situations, outside of being parried, and looks cool. What's not to like outside the fact that everyone says they don't like it because so many people use it? Before the nerf it was fast too. The Great Swords also stunlock fairly well.
Actually I think the Zweihander is my final answer. It's the only one of the three I chose that's good for both gang bangs and 1v1's, where the other two, especially R'sR, are more situational.

Never a bad thing. I think the only GS I've regularly used since the nerf is the Arty Sword, and I honestly can't tell the difference. It'd been awhile before that though. The last one I'd used was the Claymore on my first run.

Zwehi +15 for Tanking Builds.
I am liking Iatio/Ugi for a dual wield katana build. I somewhat like the Washing Pole but I personally do not like the size of the katana. Personal preference.

Fog ring isn't nessisary. You can snipe them outside of their agro range without it.

It does make a difference in a few places, I think. I also used it to run through areas without fighting. Basically, the game kicked my butt too much early on so I learned to be super-cautious/defensive/cowardly. It wasn't until later playthroughs that I finally figured out how to FIGHT through a lot of the sections I skipped.

I Just play in PVE cuz i have no connections to my console, so i dont worry too much about usefully in pvp or no, and just keep follow what i use to say (thats cool)...so i like to walk around smashing and crushing around the world with Greatsword of Artorias, sometimes Uchigatana, like the way it move, and Black Knight Greataxe.
