Use Iron Flesh and wear Havels, try to avoid the purple magic and the grabbing and you should make it without too much hassle...
I have a level 100 that can help but in my experience defeating them solo is easier...

Wow definitely an issue on my end I couldn't get any kind of multiplayer activity after that.
Hopefully it gets worked out I couldnt even pvp in the township.

I beat them first time on ng+ after equipping BK+5 and havels. You might want to use a magic barrier too.

Turned out I was having NAT issues with my router. Finally got that taken care of. After spending a few hours Saturday figuring that out I logged off for the night. First playthrough was in strength health endurance and dex. NG+ was working on faith & resistance (mainly for the covenant achievement).
