Armor Optimization Help

So Ive tested as many combos as I can within the game and Ive got a few "go to" armor set ups. Since Im on a new build and using new weapons Im again trying to get some new armor combos.

Im looking to keep my defenses high and poise over 53 so I will be wearing Havel's

Now im trying to get my def up over 400 and my magic over 300 with out leveling up at all.

There are some thing I refuse to wear so please no Dingy anything or any family masks, also other than the gauntlets havels armor is out. So what options do I have ?

Also the look of the set up is important to me, I dont want to be yet another giant flipper or something that is so immediately identifiable

Not possible I believe. To have 300 MAG DEF with 400 PHYS DEF. Unless you use Blue Stoneplate Ring and still you wouldn't be able to mid/fast roll.

Chain armor is the closest I have been able to get and Im pretty sure there is a way to get it higher, my problem here is I dont like how the chain armor looks with the rest of the gear

I know but still it's not the numbers you asked... that setup works great, why don't you go with it? 6 points of difference in defense won't help you much. I'm short in time these days but I hope you manage to achieve it, still I repeat the difference it's minimum.

Use the tattered hood instead to get your 300 magic defenses. Sorry, I'm just in love with the hollow thiefs hood.

Gon mugenmonkey, and to the left of the site are 3 Box things next to the class and stat slots. One is "Best starting class for your build" and the one in the middle is "Best armor for your class"

It lets you add specifics like which to specify in, like poise and to keep it under 25%

But when it uses heavy info (very specific) uses a lot of memory and the script/tab/firefox/chrome crashers completely. I tried it and it crashed.

Try catarina armor, sunbros armor is really good and uderappreciated.

defenses you wanted.. more than what you wanted.
looks cool and doesn't use armor you wont use.
no stat changes or weapon changes.. just a better setup basically.

I switched your chest armor for a Elite Knight Armor and switched your cleric legs for Black Leather boots. That is about as close as you will get while still holding the fast roll. It has 398.9 physical defense and 301.7 for magic defense. I hope this helps you out and this build looks pretty good that I might use it myself

EDIT: Rifter7 damn you did a good job and even better then i could haha seems like I still need practice and will probably end up using that build for myself.

than ks, ive used that combo as a forest hunter for a while. I may go back to it at some point but I think Im gonna keep messing around. appreciated though
