Not new knowledge, but kinda cool

Invaded in Latria last night, saw the host and a BP couple floors down, proceeded to run through the level looking for them when I ran into enemies. Slash, slash. DID NOT KNOW I COULD KILL THEM. ( as a Black phantom).
Anyway, got all the way to the fools idol fog gate and figured I would help them before trying to kill them, I struck the BP there until she was almost dead, then waited. Host died b4 getting there.



Question... Had I kilt the BP and she dropped the Black eye stone, then the host died b4 picking it up, would it still be there next time they come through the area?

I believe almost all items expire if the host dies while it's on the ground.
But hey,you can get an another black eye...later! o/

Most item drops will vanish if you die. You can also get a black eye from a normal invader (pun intended).

Here's the list of drops that will respawn (from demonssouls wiki):
Executioner Miralda (both), Old King Doran, Scirvir, The Wanderer (both), Lord Rydell (both), Yurt, the Silent Chief (1-3 or Nexus), Satsuki (BP), Selen Vinland (both), Garl Vinland (both), the Fat Official* that drops the Iron Ring of Keys, the Fat Official* that drops the Official's Cap, the Ore-Bag Miners* in world 2, the Slug* in 5-2 that drops the Dull Gold Armor, and the shaman* in 5-2 that drops the Shaman's Clothes (*Their unlooted corpses will remain at their spawn point, or a reload should respawn them).
