I was doing some low level dragon duelling today, and after one match, I received a profanity laced message that seemed to accuse me of using lag to cheat. During the fight, I noticed the usual lag, getting hit when out of range, etc. But the truth is, I felt like I had won the fight because I was using a fast weapon (rapier) and my opponent had no poise, so was easy to stunlock. Is this just a case of one person moaning because they lost, or is it possible that, from his point of view, I was too hard to kill because of lag?

Does lag impact gameplay of both players?

he's just mad because he lost and blamed it on lag to make himself feel better. let me guess, he would have one if you didn't use, "lag tactics" lol stuff happens, lag happens, dying happens and losing happens. no need in making a big deal of it lol he needs to get over it

lol...funny thing is, I didn't even backstab him...not once, even though I had opportunities. It didn't seem necessary, since he kept opening himself up to quick strikes from the rapier (which I kept at +5 so as not to overpower anyone).

yes it does, for one player it could be a normal match, but for the opponent it could be a grueling lag fest. There is really nothing you can do about it just except it and move on.

As I understand it, DkS' co-op/PvP system works different than DeS in that it's P2P as opposed to connecting through a server, so it wouldn't be surprising if lag affects both(or more) players).
