On the Cinemassacre site, home of the angry video game nerd put up a review of Dark Souls that gave it a strong recommendation.

This is great because the site has millions of people who watch their videos.

I'm not really sure how many people watch Mike's videos (I usually don't) but it's great regardless.

I usually don't watch Mike's videos either because I think his sense of humor is awkward and makes me nervous haha. But his reviews are usually really well thought-out. I thought he did a fantastic job with this. He basically catered to people who know absolutely nothing about the Souls series at all, but did make some great points about what makes the game so appealing and addictive.

Was just going to make a topic on this. I actually like mike, he turned me onto a few nes/snes games i had not heard of in his underrated games lists. I thought he did a really good job with the video, he did a great job explaining the things that are usually the reason people end up just giving up early on. I think he thinks he is further into the game then he is, so i hope he does another impressions video. It is just cool cause that you tube channel has a ton of subscribers, so hopefully people who haven't played Dark Souls see that and become interested.

Kinda sucks people aren't very fond of Mike(i think he's cool), cause they might just not watch the video. Maybe Mike will get James into the Souls games. I noticed Mike had Demon's Souls, but didn't mention having played it. I know they don't do playthroughs, but even just an episode of them co-oping online would be awesome. I could see a pretty funny episode coming from that, i doubt it will happen though since James really only focuses on retro games(bad ones lol). Demon's/Dark Souls is pretty much the opposite of that.

I also loved how Mike said the first place he explored was the graveyard.

I feel like i was one of the very few people who realized quickly that was not the way i should go. Too bad i didn't notice the stairs to the elevator down to the blacksmith...That is one of the best parts of Souls games though, you find new and better ways to play through it everytime.

my first place i went was new londo ruins, then the graveyard, and finally the burg. for the first hour of my dark souls experience i wondered why i couldn't kill skeletons or why i couldn't even hit ghosts. i love experiencing these games without internet aid. just like the good ol days of final fantasy and dragon warrior.

Aww, I wanted to see James to a review of this. Or a Let's Play would be better, I'd like to see him swear his *** off at this.
