DLC trouble

So I just got the DLC for xbox and the crystal golem at the entrance to the Duke's Archives isn't dropping the broken pendant so that I can access the DLC content. I've heard of this happening a lot but I don't know if there's a sure way to fix this problem.

Any help would be great!

Is that how you access the DLC content?? I always thought the portal just appears when you place the lordvessel. Have you actually checked out the place where the portal should be? Or don't you know where that is?

Yeah you have to save Dusk first.

yeah I saved dusk and talked to her and still nothing. I haven't gotten the pendant yet but I know where the portal is supposed to be, where Dusk's golem was

And it's just not there? And you have placed the lordvessel of course, right?
Have you tried killing the gollem multiple times to see if it drops it anyways?

is there a DLC discussion page? I wasn't sure where to post this. Yes, I've placed the lordvessel, killed sif, killed four kings, saved the onion knight's daughter. Should I kill seath first?

No i don't think there's a DLC discussion, but you mentioned youre on xbox right? So you shouldn't post in pc. But well it doesn't matter.

So did you try killing the gollem in the dukes archives again? He respawns. Go try that a couple of times and otherwise i don't know. ):

And are you sure the pendant isn't like in your bottomless box or something? Stupid question of course, but there has to be something weird going on.

Nope I own no pendants. Do I need the original pendant to get the broken one?

All you need to do is:
first, save dusk by killing the golden golem in the cave in the back left of the lake where you fight the Hydra.
second, get the lorvessel, place it, then go to the dukes archives and kill the new blue crystal golem that is at the top right of the first room that you enter when you reach the top of the elevator right after the first bonfire where you killed the armored boars.
I know its overly detailed, I just didnt want to leave anything out.
So if you did this in that order, you should be fine. Otherwise your game is glitched.

Honestly, I don't think there's anything you can do except start over.
Are you using DSfix? if you are and you have save backups enabled then maybe you can go back and try again. Although you probably wont be able to go back far enough.
