New PC! Need Games!

ANYONE GOT GOOD GAMES FOR A PC?

I got a new PC for Christmas (<3 Dad.) and i wanna try out new Games. I'm planning on getting L4D2 for it, since i can get it for around 12-15 bucks (In Norwegian Money = 90kr) and I just started using Steam.

I don't like using Credit Cards, so i've asked a Friend of mine to Gift me Games and i'll pay him with Cash. NEVER TAKE THE RISK.
Suggestions AND (Simply asking) Gifts on Steam :face: :face: :face: Would gladly be appreciated.

What kinds of games do you like? I've been playing Company of Heroes, which is super cheap on steam, for almost as long as I've been playing Dark Souls now, and it's still holding my attention. Awesome RTS game, if that's what you're into

I've been thinking about buying the Witcher as well. I've heard good things about it, and it looks like fun.

Amnesia: the Dark Descent is great too. It's really unique, and is one of the most frightening horror games I've ever played.

All 3 of those are on Steam BTW

Amnesia. Maybe. Thing is, i don't use Credit Cards so i rely on Either friends from real life to Gift games to me (One is gonna give me Orcs Must Die 2 when he get's some money) and then i Pay them in real life. Or nice and Kind people give them for Free to me. Never Happend ;_;

I like...Games...I play on a Laptop so BIG Games aren't really an option, I like games like L4D(2) and Chivalry (Huge fan of Medival games)

If you like medieval games, how about Crusader Kings 2? Not sure if a Paradox strategy game is the kind of game you'd enjoy, but it's pretty great.

Maybe you're thinking of the first game? IIRC it was developed by someone else and then finished up by Paradox.

Anyway, it's a pretty complicated game at first, but it's awesome once you get into it.

I forgot about L4D2. I bought that off steam too. Really fun game. There's still a decently sized community for it on steam too.

If you're nervous about getting a credit card, a good way to do it is to open a bank account separate from your normal account, and get a debit card for it that can't be used to draw credit, only to draw money from your account. Then just put whatever money in the account you're going to spend before you use it. I did that for a long time when I was younger, to get a good line of credit going so I could get better interest rates on my student loans.

My friend tiped my about some cards that WORKS like Gift Cards. Expect you can use them anywhere. Just like Visa Cards, He also gave me the cards and i bought L4D and L4D2 for it.

^Yeah, I know what you're talking about. They're sorta like money orders but they have pin numbers so you can use them to buy things off the internet.

okay I second mount and blade but crusader kings 2 is very...neiche. if you like it you will love it if not you will look at it funny and never play it xD

I don't play much on pc so don't expect many suggestion from me. However, if you enjoy RTS games you have Age of Mythology as well as the expansion pack AoM: The Titans. The online multiplayer is low on players nowadays, but it's still up, so you can play online(+ i got it silly

silly

). There's the mmo game Guild Wars 2, if you're into that. Or perhaps the Free to play mmo Requiem: Memento Mori, a horror based mmo. While it's not very scary it's a great game that i played for a couple of years but recently quit because i got tired of it. Lots of gore too so that's a +. There are the worms games if you like silly turn-based strategy 3rd person what the hell ever those games are considered, which are some great games. Especially Worms 3D and Worms 4 Mayhem. Now, i know those games aren't as new as L4D and L4D2 and games like that, but they are still games that are worth playing and hold up even to this day, so i suggest you atleast check them out.

Oh hell no! Worms 4 Mayhem rocks, just as much as Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is awesome, and you sure as hell can't deny that. Sonic is great both in 2D and 3D, although there have been few 3D Sonic games, worms however, both are just as good.

Storywise? Not much. It's mainly just plain and silly fun, though each worm game has a story to it of course, or atleast the 3d ones do. I've only ever played all 3D ones + Worms World Party.

They normally have guns, and they need to adjust their angle and power to hit others on various maps.

The only one I ever played was 3d, and it was a long time ago. Others might have an easier time explaining it than me.
