level 2 requires 30 humanity, so just stock up, trade in and go back to your old covenant after you open the door.

I'm a Chaos Level 2. If you open the shortcut early do you fight Knight Solaris? It would be nice to get the Sunlight Maggot earlier.

from my experience, if you open it before centipide demon, you get the maggot and solaire's not there.
