What the hell is this? Can anyone confirm?

What the hell? I've never noticed that! Is it true? Can anyone confirm it? If you beat Artorias with a Sunlight Warrior you get 25.000. You get 50.000 without a Sunlight Warrior, and 100.000 without any phantoms? I'm guessing that it's a misspelling, so it would mean you get 100.000 in NG+.

But still, from what I know you don't get reduced souls from summoning phantoms (though the health from bosses increases), unless this only applies to this boss, and ONLY if you summon a Sunlight Warrior? Really, can anyone say something about this?

It should be 50.000 in NG and 100.000 in NG+. But I've also read about phantoms getting only 25.000 or 35.000 for killing him. I assumed it was somehow related to preventing his buff or something, the sunbro theory is new to me. I tried to look into it a while back, but most of the players who summoned me there were fighting Kalameet instead.

Sorry to go off topic but which is the best place to place sign for fighting Kalameet?

Back when Dark Souls first came out the bosses souls were split between host and phantoms, host got less than if he did it alone (the way it should be in my opinion all these buffs to the souls dropped made things alittle too easy).

Just sounds like bad wording on the part of whoever added that to the wiki. I'd assume they meant 25000 if you fought him as a gold phantom, not with. Never underestimate the power of a random anonymous person on the internet to make a typo.

Okay, so I didn't learn something new.

you get more souls for beating Atorias on your own? to bad i wasn't paying attention to my soul count when i beat him the other night. will have to watch for that in the future.

That's not the case at least right now, I tested it on several bosses (though not Artorias specifically) that even with a phantom you get the same amount of souls.
