Help with Caster/Priest Cosplay Ideas (For Appearances Only)

Hello everyone,

The only magics I've used are the Pyros in Dark Souls; Warding and Second Chance from Demon Souls - basically I never made a spell/miracle user before. For some reason though I feel like making some now, but am having trouble deciding what they should look like. Problem is, I'm not too familiar with many Casters/Priests from other games, anime, novels, so some suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Some things to keep in mind though:

- Spellcaster Cosplayer will have these stats:
50 Int/45 Dex

- Priest Cosplayer will have these stats:
50 Faith/45 Dex

- It would be awesome if the model for cosplay has moves similar to the spells/miracles available (Optional)

- I am willing to use consumables for cosmetic effects, so if any of the resin effects, or item auras light some bulbs please let me know

- I will get the DLC stuff one day (later, rather than sooner) so feel free to suggest stuff from there as well

- Character must be based off external media sources (i.e. no Souls Series Characters)

- Model for character need not be a Magus/Priest at all! After all, I'm just dressing my guy up as them. As long as the stats permit the equipment, it's all good (e.g. Character model for Spellcaster Build uses Katanas)

I think str would fit better in the priest catagory. Keep is 40 dex after that it's diminishing. All I got.

I see what you're saying man. Still, I wanted these two builds to be almost purely spell/miracle based when actually fighting people. I just want to be able to suit these two up later on when I eventually realize what a crappy caster I am.

I remember a video Vageta did, a starting level mage playthrough of the game. He wore the Dingy Robe and, with blue hair and the Dusk Crown, it made me think of Eiko, the summoner from FFIX. If you want images, I recommend you google it yourself. I had linked an image, but edited it out of my post, because her character concept looks, shall we say, disturbing out of context.

The Crown of Dusk and the Brigand Set, on a female character with blue hair, would be pretty close, I think.

Dex improves your casting speed, caps at 45.

It's her actual concept art, though. Chalk it up to eccentric Japanese character designs...

but dex downt help faith spells as much as int iirc. i always loved full cleric armor with iron helm for my faith/str builds.

Make a female character, wear the maiden set and only use healing miracles.

Female caster definatly the witch set, female cleric madiends. male caster big hat set and for cleric ive always like the paliden set but its pretty heavy.

You could try doing a Kirisame Marisa (Touhou) cosplay for the spellcaster build: (Google the name and you'll find plenty of images)

Head: Big Hat (Or Witch Hat if you prefer that)
Body: Witch Cloak
Legs: Antiquated Skirt
Hands: None

Catalyst: Logan's Catalyst (Or Witch if you prefer)

I'll probably go with either BLA1NE or Rarayn's suggestions for the Spellcaster. Shindori's build (https://soulswiki.forumotion.com/t13963-sephiroth-build) would have been perfect for my miracle dude, but the Washing Pole's Str Requirement's a bit too high.

Also I am loving the creepy insanity of Fate/Zero's Servant Caster "Mr. Bluebeard", so if anyone can figure out a good armour combo for him that would be pretty sweet.

Bluebeard might be a bit difficult to do well in DkS. The best match I can think of is to use the Gold-Hemmed Black set, minus the hood. Add the Undead Rapport Pyromancy and the Channeler Trident to represent his summoning magic. (Though the combo wouldn't really be good as anything but a weak proxy of it)

Yeah. It's easy dressing up the melee builds, but not many Casters stick out in the stuff I watch. Oh and thanks for the Spell/Miracle mix. Now I just have to find an outfit for that too . . .

Ahh forgot about that stuff. If only it was a bit poofier . . . I'm not really sure what Ciaran's Chest Piece looks like, but apparently it's blue - would that work?

Also does anyone know how to add facial hair and customize skin tones? I can't seem to find those options in the customization screen. The base pattern that has it (Catarina?) is not always suitable.

Once you're in the customization screen, you have to select customize again to get all the advanced options.

I started an Eiko myself a few days ago, I couldn't resist, and it looks pretty sweet. I picked large upper body, since it made her proportions more child-like, and the Bandit's set looks great with the Crown of Dusk and blue hair.

@BLA1NE - I can't believe I've missed that after all this time, thanks! About the "beard" editing, I'm trying to give my guy an Abe Lincoln type beard, but I can't stop it from creating a 'stache too.
