what exactly do those numbers by the black and white circles mean? do these weapons do more damages to invaders or phantoms or something? i know divine gives a percentage bonus against skelleis but what about occult?

I've read that occult does more damage to humanoid enemies, or enemies that are "alive", like the opposite of Divine I guess. I could be completely wrong though.

yeah i heard they did more to white and gold phantoms... and that divine did more to invaders.... but i don't know...

For PVP purposes: the description on the embers suggest Divine does more damage to Darkwraiths and such, and Occult does more damage to Sunbros/Way of White. But I've never tested it.
As for damage Divine has higher base, and Occult has higher scaling.

I've never understood this either, I find the invader/host theories interesting and lean towards them, but honestly I don't think anyone really knows what they do.
I use the greatsword when I farm the NPC Darkwraiths and I have never noticed a damage increase against them, if there is it isn't very large.
