Players seem to have some anti-defense poisons because no shield blocks against status aliments, which severely nerfs the GS of Artorias and Spider Shield.

Artorias never has. It is broken in PvP, but I heard the Spider did.

spider does pretect against poison arrows. itss the only one.

It has never blocked poison for me.
I know that it blocked poison when i fought you Rant, but i tried using it later and it didn't work.

from what ive tested it only blocks poison arrows. i have not tested after the patch so it mightve been the patch that got rid of it and if it did im gonna be pissed.

I tried it against poison arrows before the patch (I was fighting Jov when i tried it) and i still got poisoned

i was testing it last night with some people, spider shield did not block it at all.

Maybe, somehow, your resistance plays a roll. If you can't take a single hit and be poisoned, maybe it can't protect you?

It definitely blocks poison and toxic in PvE
