PVP Gift Givers Appreciation (and Tales)

Sorry if this exists already.

I just wanted to say a thank you to all you players who give away stuff to players less skilled than you. It's always a nice surprise.

Example: I was helping people Kings for a while, and I got summoned by a player who rolled around a bit, sword danced (you know, when you repeatedly press the block button with a sword on two hand) and then dropped me a huge amount of titanite. Coloured, chunks, slabs, colour slabs, you name it. I had enough to give them away to other players too once I'd made the weapons I wanted.
More recently, I got handed 30x large soul consumables of a few different kinds. Large Soul of a Nameless, that sort of stuff. I must have ended up with 90+ consumable soul items.

Then again, should you really be thanked if you got the items via hacking? tut tut, naughty.

Someone has to do the dirty work so more slabs can be distributed. Also, most people, who gave out slabs and other stuff, BB duplication glitched, didn't hack.

I have to thank a rather kind French player who gave me 99 of each type of slab (he had told me that he had BB dupe glitched). I decided that I should follow in his footsteps and give them out also to random players I encountered. Thus, for the last two weeks pre-patch, every player I met via summon or invasion left my world with 98 of each slab.

I know the patch brought more balance to the game, but the patch ensured that we will probably not see this kind of generosity again because it took out the BB dupe glitch.

Whenever I'm co-oping with a low level build and I see the host using something I think is underpowered for the area they're in, I try to give them something useful. Usually it is something like a dark hand, raw weapon, or a jagged ghost blade. Something that can help them for a while without lasting them through the whole game. I also sometimes give them a chunk or two or some large/green shards depending on what weapon they're using.

I should probably do this too lol, I've got 99 chunks from farming Darkwraiths for slabs XD.

You're a saint, sir. Have you ever considered trading in your eyes for sunlight?

I have another story I forgot as well. I got summoned up by an asian player (why are they always asian?! I can't seem to summon from the western hemisphere at all) who was using a chaos halberd. I'd never seen one so I was losing my * over it. He dropped me a halberd and all the stuff to make it into the same one he had.

Lately, I've been doing a lot of SL20 sunbroing in the Parish. I haven't been sitting there actively waiting to get summoned; only having the game on in the background while I am reading for my studies. (It was a surprisingly good way to keep myself awake and aware without caffeine....But the "Being Summoned" message might be even more addictive than caffeine can ever hope to be anyway.)

Anyway, since I accumulated an ungodly amount of souls I didn't really want to carry around or spend on levelling, I figured I might as well spend it all on something else. I bought a ton of titanite Shards, and started upgrading various items I had picked up; Balder Side Swords, Balder Armour Pieces, various other things. I then started giving these items out to summoners who seemed like they'd need/want them. No-one except Petrus deserves the awful fate of carrying around a Knight Shield.
