WHAT IS THIS?

Im in Duke's and i saw something shiny. I looked at and it was a Body...You can find it if you look down when you come out of Cell. (Where the Bonefire is, Sorry for bad Quality...Took it with my phone)

Yeah... when you start at the bonfire, go out, go down, grab a key, then run back to the bonfire. There's a door at the back of the bonfire, open that, and you have an alternate way to get to the snakes and theri music machine without going through those monsters.

I think it might just be a Hero Soul or something like that. From your position. It's been a while since I actually looted that.

I just recently found this for the first time too. On like my 10th play through no less. Nice thing about DkS is even though I've played through so many times I'm still finding stuff I've never found before. It's usually just soul drops, but it's still exciting.

When you look around in that place, you see like 2 other doorways that have no clear way of being reached. Are they there just for show, or can you get there via illusion/secret?

Post pictures. You can get into most of the cells in that room. Hard to answer without seeing exactly what you're talking about though

Can't post a pic due to being at work, but ill try later. Basically when you're at the very top of the place you look across and there's 2 doorways about parallel, or even above your position. I figured I would get there later when I played through my first time, then forgot about them. But everything below I found how to get into.

P.S. what does the music do? I never really experimented with it, but does it make the tentacle lizards not attack you or something?

Turn the brightness all the way up and look to the sky, you will see DARK SOULS faintly written, in the same font as the title screen. Or it could just be that the lettering burned into my tv, I haven't checked on other TVs.

It must've burned into your tv, because I can't see anything but clouds. That's dissapointing lol, I really wanted to see it XD.

Turn the game brightness up all the way as well as your TV pretty high. I'm not making any promises, but I could pretty clearly see it looking straight up and in the direction of the parish.

What kind of TV is it, tube, plasma, LED, etc?

Did you noticce the health bar in the uppoer corner as well?

Do you leave the TV on a lot with just the opening screen?

Plasma tv. A big 51 incher. It was a while ago, I dont remember if I left in on startscreen a long time.

I just checked on a new tv, no luck. Must have been my plasma tv. It was pretty cool though. Weird thing was I could only see it there, nowhere else.

@OP also after you climb the big ladder to leave the jail area of duke's if you go left there's a ledge you can toe hang on to get to some cells.

Yesterday someone in the CC led me to an area I have never been before in almost 1000 hours of dark souls play. He used some prism stones and I got a blue chunk. I love these kind of things, still enjoying a game after so many hours and I am not even a pvp player. Go figure.

I actually just found an area in the PWoA that I've never seen before, in a little less time, I think I have around 850 hours now, anyway it was the area with the gold coin. I never bothered dropping down there because you die when you drop in anywhere else. Bit of a nice surprise.

A gold coin in PWoA? ok, now I have to go back there lol.
