SO. I have been seeing ALOT of posts saying that Kalameet's tail is a Total Bit*h to cut off. I had Problems with Priscillia and SOME...PROBLEMS... With Seath so DO I HAVE ANYTHING TO FEAR AGAINST KALAMEET?

It's not that hard. Only took me 2 hours to get that tail

I got the tail on my second try. It's not that hard, you just have to be patient. And it helps to have a weapon that swings vertically.

I got it my first try, but it does take a while..
I used the black knight greataxe and it took like 5-6 hits to the tail to cut it off. Its not that hard but you really need some patients.

From what I've seen hitting the tail towards the tip appears to yield the best results, although having not done it myself I really cannot say if this is true or not, but as with any of the tail cuts patience will probably be your best ally.

Doing it by yourself would take awhile and it would be pretty frustrating. When I co-oped the boss, I would shoot the tail with my composite bow as long as the host could keep him off of me. I also used the Zweihander's R2 attack when I was close.

Should've been able to get at least 3 hits on his tail after he breaks the crystal :/

After a while you realize that his moves are all easily dodged and he becomes very easy to kill. You need to be patient with the tail, wait for him to fly at u, dodge around him and wait for him to slam his tail at u. Either block that or dodge and give it a good whack. Pick the biggest most damaging weapon you have, one that can swing vertically down on his tail.
Good luck! And the weapon he gives blows anyways so unless you're a completionist like myself, don't stress it too much. Why do dragon weapons suck so bad?

Yeah... Dragon weapons aren't worth anything in my opinion.

Depends. They can be really powerful in the right hands. But only because of their r2 (i'm not counting the MLGS).
If you buff them then the damage transfers to the r2, imagine how much damage you can do.

I usually help by baiting the Curse and Standing Flame attacks. Then I rush behind him and chop it off.

Re: Should i Fear...?
Patience and technique. I myself didn't find it too hard. Only took me about 5-10 minutes to get it. However, unless you're fast enough it might be a b*tch as he only gives you few chances to hit his tail. I'd say, if you get a combination with fast movement and big damage you could get it off him pretty quickly, most likely faster than me.
Edit: I advice co-op though. Having someone distract him makes things so much easier.

The Great Scythe is excellent for chopping off the tail, as well...

Re: Should i Fear...?
The Obsidian Greatsword is in my opinion the best dragon weapon, I use it on my faith build -which barely meets its requirements- and since it has no scaling, it's the best thing I can use. It has an AR of 480 full physical, and it's enchantable. It comes to replace elemental weapons in builds where you want to put points somewhere else.
