My Mage Build

Hi guys,

I recently made a 2nd character and recently got darkwraith on sat. I was wondering what advice you guys could give me, and if i had any chance doing this once i got around the 120 lv. Thanks~

RH1: crystallization Catalyst
RH2: quelaags fury sword+5
LH1:Blood Shield +4
LH2:Pyromancy Flame(max)

DWGR and ring of favor(what should i sub for favor?)

Dark wraith gloves, legs. and body with a gold hemmed black hood

Spells: Crystal Soul Spear, White Dragon breathe, Chaos firestorm and chaos great fireball.

Any tips or changes ill probably just outright try, and im currently getting invasions every minute using dried finger and red eye orb in ToG.

Blood shield is useless in pvp, even against katanas and even more with your toon, you only have 10 vit, if someone hit you, you're practically dead.

That also makes your rings useless and your armor too.
Go for crown of dusk/darkmoon and any light armor you want.

If you want to use a weap, go for moonlight butterfly horn and Moonlight greatsword (both have only magical damages and int scaling).

It would be like this :

RH1 : Moonlight greatsword
RH2 : Catalyst/Pyro flame
LH1 : Catalyst/ Pyro flame
LH2 : Moonlight horn

DWGR + bellowing dragoncrest ring

Crown of dusk + light armor.

Spells : Forget the chaos spells, they take 2 slots and don't make much more damage.

Crystal soul spear, White dragon breath, homing crystal soulmass, Great fireball, Great combustion, Fire tempest.


It must be a lot better


Edit : And, for the next levels, put some points in vit/end (and the required points for the weapons, the sword needs 20 str i think.)

the people i invade usually are 1 hit with a soul spear so i didnt know about the dragoncrest ring, and even with the damage being similar i used mainly for the lava effect, is that useless?

and i dont know if its just me but when i soul mass in another persons world they immediately disperse in every direction even if there are no enemies around so i can never hit anyone with it.

and i kindaa already lost my chance to get moonlight greatsword.

Do you often fight against static opponents ?
If you do, then the lava effect is useful, If you do not... it's not.

If you can't get the moonlight greatsword you'll get it during your NG +.
And if you still want to use a shield, you can, but prefer a grass crest shield or a crest shield and use the great magic shield spell.

a lot back themselves into corners and foolishly walk onto the lava after the fire storm is done- but ill give it a shot the other way. and doesnt the magic shield spell last 10 seconds? how do you do that correctly haha
