can Sunrbos get any more dumb?

so there i was invaded Anor Londo. The host and phantom just got done killing the archer Silver knights and are waiting at the bottom drop down from where the silver knights stands.

So there i am up on the ledge, and there are the Sunbros and Host down below me. I am on my caster so i pull out my TCC and bow. the sunbro after seeing my TCC decides to do "well what is it" boom CSS one shot, the other sun bro decides to take out his bow and try and shoot me, boom CSS one shot.

so now the host is alone he runs under the ledge so he can BS me as soon as i fall. HCSM turn around,back jump off ledge, boom Host is dead before i even hit the ground.

what would cause them to stand in clear site when i have my TCC out?

My guess is that they are newer to the game. Anor Londo has a large amount of noob sun bro help especially with the price of DkS being so low now.

Most people don't expect to get One shot like that, so I agree with Lord.

Gankers logic:

"We are 3 against 1 so he can't harm us, lets taunt!"

They don't even see the invader, taunting is required on every ganking situation. But after facing you, I believe those 3 guys will pay more attention next time

i mean i can understand that to a point with the first guy taunting... but the 2nd guy after seeing his friend get one shot thought he should try and shoot me with a bow instead of taking cover??

Some sunbros aren't very good. Compared to experienced high-level gankers, most AL sunbros are like punching bags.

Some of the gankers in darkroot are very skilled. Fighting them is like a nightmare :evil:

I still run into people who will turtle a shotel and try to heal while in a cloud of Lloyd's. Just new players who are overconfident.

naw no one was, i think one was full black iron, another looked like elite night set, and the host had a mix of Havel's and Painted guardian chest.

and to Reim, yea i get people try and drink while they got the cloud of Lloyd,s i used to Backstab those people for even wanting to heal, now i either "shrug" or shoot them in the head with the bow if i am fast enough because it makes a funny sound.

It's not stupidity; it's lack of game knowledge. Big difference.

But he saw me one shot his friend... Does he think I can't do it twice??

Maybe he thought he could stun you with a bow, like other casters in the game.

And yeah, they're probably not stupid, they're probably just relatively new. If they'd played the game as much as you, op, they'd doubtless be just as 'smart.'

In general I think there's no reason to be too proud when you win, it usually means you've simply played the game (or pvp'd, whatever) more than the other guy. Not always, but usually.

Usually it's a reason to be less proud.

"I have invested hundreds of hours into this game! I Am a God! Oh wait, no, I'm just a guy that loves this computer game..."

Nothing against that, but honestly, there are much more admirable pursuits we could do with the time spent. "Owning noobs" is a laughable, sad concept.

I don't think that's what the OP meant. I don't think he is laughing all the way home because he "pwned n00bs." I think he's disappointed at seeing 3 players with very bad attitudes not take him seriously just because they have the numerical advantage.

3 people had bad attitudes because one of them did a taunt?

3 Questers, 2 of them not knowing how to PvP, or what CSS can do, or how to combat it.

The last one, did a taunt so we can't determine his skill/lack thereof.

They just got past the silver archers, which for people that can't PvP, can be a b****. Parrying is so helpful for that section.


I fail to see how people that can't PvP don't take an invader "seriously".

Maybe not bad attitudes, but they trivialized him is what I wanted to say.

Updated my post. Disagree. If you can't PvP (and 2 of them couldn't apparently) when you get invaded, you are scared (because it's almost always an insta death).

But it appears as though they weren't afraid if they lined up side-to-side to mock him.

That's not how I behave when I'm frightened.

They let someone, who was casting CSS, at anor londo (so obviously a pure caster build) sit on a high ledge without any counter. They obviously had no clue about PvP, or after he pulled out his catalyst (likely Tin Crystal or Logans) they didn't run through the fog door.

All you know, is one taunted, and the others sat there. Sounds like at least 2 questers that didn't know what they're doing. After I killed the second guy, I would have Black Crystalled out. I wouldn't kill an inexperienced quester after they went past the archers, having them have to go through them hollow, or risk another invasion, just to retrieve their souls. That's just mean.

Aggree, I am defs new to PvP, and when I get invaded, i instantly think "oh crap, now i have to trek back tocollect my souls and humanity, specially since my goal was to clear the boss, NOT to PvP. And how does the OP know that they were not trying to get the level done? I think the OP is boasting a bit too much because of the taunt of one summon, and that he obviously knew he was better equipped. not something to be proud of, and perhaps a missed oppertunity to bring a newbie into the wonderful world of decent, pleasant PvP.

PS i invaded at SL100 so that means the host was SL100 or above which is unlikely he was that high level on his first play through, he also had BKGA which you wouldn't have in Anor if it is your first play through.

Understand what you saying, and I also dont like it when someone taunts, be it an invader or me invading. I will never taunt as it is pure disrespect (which deserves a BS or soul arrow up the a$$). :face:

I just think that because it was not the host who taunted u, assuming all three are disresctful (and hence labeling all Sunbro's the same) because a summon taunted u is not a refection on all three.

Also, I am a SL65, but have not done much PvP, so to assume a SL100 should be good at PvP is a not good assumption to make either. But hey, we all learn right??

I know what you're saying. But what they have to know is:

1) This guy one shotted a phantom with some kind of magic (they may not know CSS). He can cast that again.
2) My bow will be ineffective against his magic.

And they need to make a split second decision on both of those items. So you're assuming they have all the knowledge necessary and can make a snap judgement call on it.

An example Glute is say you don't play or know anything about football (American/NFL). A close friend loves it and wants to play it. So you say sure, let's play.

You have the ball, and his guys setup. You decide to go for a pass. The ball gets intercepted because it was obvious from his defensive deployment that he was going for tight pass coverage and had a minimum deployment on the Defensive Line.

Imagine then that your friend says, "Why didn't you call an audible? You had all the information right in front of you to know that's a dangerous pass."

It assumes that you know enough from the information presented to you to make a snap (HA!) judgement call.
