Is this a good 40 str/dex build?

Fairly new to pvp, been messing around at lvl 50 pvp in forest covenant so I could get some practice in, but now ive decided to get up some levels and try out some real pvp.

is this a good set-up for a sl-120 character?

I also just found out that there is no point in leveling str past 27 if your planing on 2-handing the weapon, is this true? and does this mean there is no point in me putting 40 points into str?

Yes that's true.

You should be aware that the dlc is gonna have a patch that'll nerf the DWGR. I suggest you practice with either fast/mid roll.

Also, the advantage of 40 str is for more AR when you 2H a weapon, as well as 1H the majority of the weapons.

if you start with Bandit class you will have an extra 2 points to spend because Int will be at 8 instead of 10.

and why oh why would you use elemental non scaling weapons if you are 40/40?? get your self a Sunlight Straight Sword, Washing Pole, or a Zwei+15 if you like the Zwei

I would say no, that is not the best build for pvp. Also as other mentioned it is only a couple weeks before the DWGR is patched. I would go with what the others are saying, maybe make it 28 str(you can 1hand the murakumo). Try to get more Vit also, HP is very important in PVP. Most importantly, you are using elemental weapons, which completely eliminate the point of lvling STR/DEX higher then the required stats to wield. You also really wont be able to fast roll, have decent poise, and wield both a katana and ultra greatsword. Those days are soon to be a thing of the past.

Don't think you will get much better then that with fast roll and at least 53 poise, while remaining at SL120.

her's mine http://tinyurl.com/8l5ghqo i switched the weapons so you can use the zwei if you really like it and a smaller faster weapon for finishing off opponents.

Don't use elemental weapons first of all, and second, try to start as a Warrior or bandit for the most points. Use +15, otherwise, why invest all those points into you stats? The point of using a 40/40 build is to +15 a lot of weapons.

If you're fast enough, inventory menu weapons swap is great for those builds (Resident evil style!), you don't have to equip them but just organize your inventory and put your favorites weapons close to eachother. With a bit of practice, you won't even need your secondary slots Just be sure to balance the weight when switching equipment so you don't end up fat rolling
