So my DS have crashed about 10 times now. Every time i make King Seeker Frampt to get me down and the scene where hi takes you to his mouth goes fine but then comes the scene where he spits you out and every time i watch this scene my DS crashes and it crashes even when im normally playing the most recent happened today (11.10.12) when i started and after that i played about 2 min and then used a humanity then it just again crashed and i have to shut the PS3 manually. Does this happen to anyone else than me and is there any way to fix it. I have half of the memory left in my PS3 so it should't happen because of memory shortage and i have it patched to 1,05

I'm surprised,I think you might take a look on your disk for scratch.

Re: Dark Souls Crashing on PS3
I don't have a PS3, but rather an xbox(though that shouldn't matter), but i've experienced stuff like this before, and most likely it's what vatar5 said, probably a scratch on the disc. Either way there are usually ''loopholes'' to avoid this, and while not a permanent solution, it does atleast give you the ability to keep playing, if said loophole works. The only thing i could think of though is getting access to the area without speaking to Frampt, and correct me if i'm wrong, but can you not access the area by just jumping down? If it does work, do keep in mind, it's not the best solution, but just a temporary one, though most likely it won't work anyway. Just thought i'd share that with you, just in case.

Then it's most likely the disc, do what vatar5 said and check for any visible scratches on the disc.

Re: Dark Souls Crashing on PS3
Then i'm not sure what it could be. Perhaps part of the memory is corrupt? Try the disc on another PS3 or saving on some other harddrive/memory card. If that doesn't help i'm not quite sure what. I hope this turn out for the better though, so good luck.
Edit: I mean playing until that part from the start on another harddrive/memory card, not transfering memory, though that might be too much of a time waster. If you have access to another disc you could borrow from a friend and try that could help confirm whether it's the disc or not.

Re: Dark Souls Crashing on PS3
Sadly no one of my friends have DS so i just have to hang with it and since it won't happen every time and DS saves once in a while so i don't lose anything when it happens it's not that annoyingMr. Tart wrote:Just edited my post, so you should probably read the edit as well.

Re: Dark Souls Crashing on PS3
You probably already did this. But clean the disk with a soft cloth. You may not be seeing a spec that happens to be in just the right spot to mess it up.
Also, you can get rid of frampt and still make it to the room before the kiln by just jumping down the hole that frampt comes out of.

Re: Dark Souls Crashing on PS3
Have you tried a new character as well, to see if it happens sporadically on all characters?
