Call centres

So my house is pretty bad for them. Usually get 2+ calls per hour and it gets pretty bad sometimes.

So at 5:15 I got a call from a nice indian girl from Consumer Concerns asking for me to do a survey. Obviously I tell her I don't have the time and she very nicely tells me to have a good night, and ends the conversation.

Lovely.

5:35 comes around and I get another call; a different girl from Consumer Concerns giving me the same intro speech. I interrupt at this point:

Me: "Oh sorry excuse me, you actually called me 15 minutes ago and I told you I dont have the time for this call."

Girl: "Well, if i've got you now you obviously didn't go anywhere so you clearly do have the time"

Me: "Uhm... i'm sorry no I already told you when you called-"

Girl: "Oh I called you?"

Me "Well someone from your company did."

Girl: "Oh, so why did you say I called you if I didn't?"

Me: "You represent a company. Do you want to argue about this?"

Girl: "No, have a good day" *Hangs up*


So, i'm currently sitting waiting for them to, no doubt, call again at which point i'm going to ask for a supervisor and hopefully get someone fired

ps. I've worked in a call centre, I know how it works and I know that I would never have been that cheeky to someone I called. So yknow, dont just think i'm an ******* who wants to get someone fired lol

I love messing with people from call centers.

I get a lot of calls from student loan companies offering me different things. After months of weekly calls and telling them I'm not interested I began answering the phone and bursting into tears as soon as they asked for me by name. Claiming I had been dead for months and the memory of my tragic death still brings me to tears.

Im so happy we got some list here in Holland where we can sign up to NOT get called for this bull.

"pardon me?"
so we still up for that movie tonight?
"sir, i believe you have me confused for someone else, i represent yada yada sell u s***"

"chuckle* sir?! this is yada yada company"
oh wow i think i have the wrong number.. this numbers 867 5309 isnt it?
"no sir *chuckles* this is yada yada calling on behalf bs i dont care about"
oh s***.. i've got the wrong number.. i'm sorry for the inconvenience!
"sir?!"

and then i hung up.

i mess around with em too, i freaking sprint when i hear them call lol!

In Aus there is a 10-20s wait for call centres before they start talking. After the first 5s
"City Morgue, you kill em we chill em."
They hang up pretty quick after that

Yeh they do that here too while i hear them chat in the background to their pals. Usually when I say something along the lines of "If you're ready to *** speak to me then call me , otherwise don't waste my *** time k?" They hang up pretty fast lol

Love this. My ways of getting rid off them is to pretent that your from a rival company and try to sell them s*** thats better than theirs in every way. Or if you want to get on a list to not call back, continued heavy breathing is a very distrubing message to send someone over the phone that continues to call when you dont want them to. Both ways have worked to not get called back I love trying to sell them stuff but Rifter that is awesome, make them think that you called them.

Man, you guys are good. I always get suckered into agreeing to answer their surveys that "will take 5 minutes". Then 30 MINUTES LATER they're still asking me questions.

Actually... they're the reason I stopped answering the house phone. If someone's trying to reach me, they'll call my cell. If it's the house phone, it's not for me, and I'm not a secretary--I don't take messages!
