    The 3 Stooges

Post by n0rain on Wed Sep 12, 2012 12:28 am

Today while working on my moonbro knight I ran across three invaders, all hilarious in their own right. It was such a good show I had to share.

Curley- This guy was particularly funny because of his gearset and attitude. He was one of those pinwheel masked hornet phishers that everyone hates so much. While on my way to the kiln the dark spirit decided to invade me and back up to the black knight to gank me with the AI. Silly fella, don't you know... I DC. The following message is vulgar and if you'd rather not read it then don't open the spoiler.

    Spoiler:
Curley exclaimed,"You **** ***** tryhard. go *** your mom you bk **** faced *** brain."
He was certainly less pg-13 than the real Curley but very funny nonetheless.

Larry- He was just too late to the party. Still I get a message. I am going through the kiln again (farming tits and white chuncks. I finish up the halberd knight at the end when another Dark Spirit(different guy and not in this order) invaddes. He started at the other end however. twisted As I prepare myself for the battle I think to myself,"LOL, n0rain, you are right next to the boss and ready for NG+." The spirit dashes all the way up to me and I backstep/unlock and walk through the door. His message wasn't as bad but still humourous.

    Spoiler:
Larry said,"wussy, are you afraid or something." Followed by a "boss doors should lock when you are invaded."

Moe- Moe is funny since he broke my invader CoC and was punished for it. I usually play a 3 strike rule with others though. When I am a DM, I never heal. That being said I give other players 2 chances and if they heal a third time it is considered a waste of my time and therefore the gloves hit the floor and I bring hell with that gesture. I was invaded by a Spirit of Vengeance on my way to Gwyn and made it all the way to the BK set drop. As he invaded I met him half way. He bowed like a gentleman and I prostrated. Partly because I was in awe of the Darkmoon's and I have to pay my respects, but also because I didn't have the proper bow. I like to do things propa when I can. He rushed me in tarkus gear with a lightning Zwei and I parried him. I missed my second parry and the fella almost stunlocked me. I fast roll out of the way and he lights me up with tempest. He then pops a humanity. I chug one estus and it doesn't even give me full hp. He tries to bait 3 more tempests and stunlock me. I avoided all of them thankfully. In the midst of them though I backstabbed his attempt. He back steps and pops another humanity. I parry him one last time and he heals again via hummanity. I said to myself,"we aren't getting anywhere." He goes in for a backstep attack and I BS him. As he gets up I chain him once. "OMG he is still alive", I exclaimed! The 3rd bs for the second chain finished him off and I prostrated. He wrote me a message also.

    Spoiler:
Moe said,"you noob, you can't beat me less you chainstab!"

While his statement at face value is true, I would like to remind you that I did beat him 3 times if not for his BB-manity. Or roar-manity. I messaged this one back and said he was right, but he still lost with three humanities popped.

    End Funny stuff.

I'm sort of sad you weren't Gravelording, thus you could have fought and defeated all of them at the same time. Though man what would the odds be if you did GL, and those three guys managed to invade at the same time?

Very funny stories, though I'm surprised none of them went for an eye gouge.

I've done gravelording in the forest before but it gets really chaotic and I can't really see the benefits so I just don't do it very often. To be honest the ganker and the other guy that I bailed on might've womped my behind if they invaded together, but the Zwei was a little bit lower in skill than me, or unfamiliar with his build. I am still unfamiliar with my moonbro.

    +15 Estoc
    +5shotel-Occult
    Dark Moon Bow
Canvas with WOG's and Sunlight blade.

I also switch weapons around so I'll do the parrying dagger, effigy shield and winged spear combonations so I don't get too bored.

GL'ing in the forest kind of sucks, mainly because you won't be getting Eyes of Death, since they'll probably be Forest Hunters.

The burg at high levels is usually good, as well you'd be surprised how many new players actually try Gravelord signs at lower levels. It's kind of nice, sparring with them while wearing lesser gear and teaching them to PvP.

Well, perhaps if one of them was Red. You'd have a genuine stooges fight. Them accidentally hurting each other as they try to get to you. Bumping their heads together and killing each other after you roll out of the way. Then you'd just have poor old Larry to deal with.

Looking at your build man. You must be a nightmare for guys who just turtle, seriously the occult shotel and buffed estoc >_>.

I'd start with the buff estoc, if they survive the onslaught go archer and poison them to mess with there stamina regen and make them panic. Last is if they start to turtle whip that shotel out and show them how a DM deals with the guilty.

Yeah, I bought poison throwing knives before I went to the kiln and I keep both arrow slots filled with moonlight and poison arrows. I also bought rotten resin since I don't want to really run out of a buff if the guy isn't turtling or has long reach with lots of poise. Oh the Grinding I did! :x Sleep It was worse than prom night at the local motel.
I might have to try that Tolvo.
