An idea for my next challenge run...

As some of you are already aware I am currently undertaking a SL3 Sorcerer, Humanity intact, no sorcery/pyromancy/miracle, starting equipment only run. Well it occurred to me last night, whilst I was hanging around the Garden having a little PvP break from PvE, that I would really like to do a low-level, naked, claws only run, and so I got to thinking that instead of carrying over my current build to NG+ why not simply upgrade it so that I can then effectively weild Claws on both hands. Having done some checking this morning I discovered that, even though this would require me to invest in a three point Dexterity upgrade bringing my Sorcerer up to a SL6, Stats wise he would still be the lowest class in Vitality/Endurance/Resistance, and would share the lowest class spot when it came to Strength (a respectable 9, with the Thief class), but the obvious downside to this would be that because of the stat investment I would be putting an end to my current run.

So what do you think?

Is this a good idea, or should I continue my current run over to NG+ (and beyond), and simply create a new toon to satiate my latest desire?

Of course, I could always forgo the Stat upgrade, and simply wield the Claws ineffectively on NG+, but not knowing how this will effect the damage output I really don't know if I could, and so any advise on this also will be greatly appreciated.

That's similar to what I did. I used the sl 1 pyro, but I needed more weapon variety to keep it interesting. I up'd dex to 14 so I could use the BSS and some other stuff, ending up at SL 6. Everything else remained base. It won't effect the challenge at all, so go for it.
