Duke's Archives Picasas Empty Duke's Archives Picasas

Post by Hue Thu Dec 27, 2012 2:39 pm

What are they, why do they drop humanities?
Why do they become extremely agressive when the alarm is on?
Why are the two non-respawning picasas completely passive (they flee and hide when attacked)? Why is one of them crying?
And most importantly, why do they drop Gwynevere's miracles?

Gwynevere's maidens were kidnapped by the Channelers of Seath, whom which were then experimented on. Thus, why those two drop miracles and cry. They seem to be changed humans.

The reason for the sound turning them aggressive is a classic torture technique for creating animals that will attack, such as dogs. You torture them as music players, or some other key thing they could remember. Do this for a long time and it gets set up in their brain, "This equals you are under attack." Thus, when the music is played while they are free, they will attack whatever is near to them since they believe they are in danger.

I also think not one of them, but both of the passive ones are crying.

Why bother? Two hits from a decent weapon kills them.

It means that despite looking like they do, they're treated as humanoids by the game? Dunno.

Yeah, i thought that too after some time, but you can also backstab the armored boar in the Undead Burg.

The boar was specially designed for that though: the part where its tail is is the only place on his body that isn't armored, that's why you can stab it there. The ones in the duke's archives have protection there so you can't backstab em.

Oh....oh....i remember now, i remember that i never noticed the terribly awkward butt armor before the Duke's Archives, and that's because there wasn't any on the first boar.
