underpowered back stab damage

so was pvping in the ol' forest when I invade a guy bs fishing hardcore (nothing new) he backstabs me 3x each time for 40 damage exact, I assumed he was just messing around and using a weak weapon for giggles, after killing him I got a mad messege (nothing new) calling me a hacker since not only was his balder side sword +15 he had hornet ring! any idea wtf happened here? o-O

His weapon probably broke and he didn't realize it lol.

It's always funny when invaders lose and send hate mail. There have been a few times I've been tempted to send hate mail, but I ignore those impulses because it's childish.

One guy wrote "I hope you get cancer" to me; I out-stunnlocked him with his own weapon and he wasn't having it, haha.

Even a weak weapon should do more than 40 damage, though...

one guy ran at me, fell off a cliff, then messeged me saying "I hope you die you cheating c*nt get off dark souls" needlessto say i lol'd

maybe he ran into a acid surge user and didn't recognize what happened...

Why just today I was questing my sl 50 through Sens Fortress trying to get to Anor for Co op. I have never made a housewife build, so with only a month to do so, I decided to go full giants with daddy mask lol. Also a lightning hornet rapier. This is only for co oping smough and O. The zap rapier will destroy invaders trolling my hosts, and I never got to see its power before.
Anyway...

...I get invaded by some darkwraith. I killed him without backstabs the first time. He then invades again as I am waiting to find a summon. I backstab him, he dies in one shot.

He messages calling me a "Ganker." lmao! Yet I was by myself boss questing. I lol'd and sent him a block of text explaining what a ganker was and he didn't respond after that.

10/10 hatemail stems from the senders anger and frustration at dieing. How they died isn't really important. It is merely the fact that they died when they felt they shouldn't have. Emotions overcome even the strongest of knights at times.

Yeah I got a bunch of forest bros angry will me for using the double R2 on the great scythe to a. escape a backstab and b. kill them in two hits.

But one guy was hillarious.

He come into my game via my Gravelord Sign and proceeds to fight, Giants and Greatsword combo. When he starts to lose he runs. And I het two forest bros invade. So they both come up and and I bow to one and the other lets me duel him.

Mid fight this SoV comes and Bses me... So the hunter paused to see what I would do. I BS the SoV and he runs off and sends me a message after I take down my hunter complaining about my BS.... said were dueling......

Anywho he hangs around only popping up when two hunters or SoV's are present and just fished the entire time.

So some other reccuring SoV's are pissed and message me about him being a **** and said they would stop fighting and let me go and kill him.

I finally chase the fool back up to Alvina's hut when he tried to have me running attack off of the cliff... in stead he gets a fot to the face mid swing and goes over himself.... spent another half an hour hate mailing me about my gear selection (hollow thiefs and havels gloves) saying I look stupid, it OP armour, Im poise BSing him, then complains about the Great Scythe and how its criticals are too powerful........ and finally about how I must be a hacker or glitcher because I beat about four other players several times over....

Wow, that is just sad. Kinda funny, but sad.

lol jking , one time a smough child hammer dude ran at me in the path to forest, the dude falls off the edge while running at me then starts spamming me that im a hacker ....all of my "dafuq"

the game is broken . or cheaters .

i encountered many occasions where found myself wondering what the *** is going on.

though the world and game of dark souls is brilliant and pvp is at least a tiny bit more playable than demon souls.

i hope the next dark demon souls will be more cosistent and well built. though invading , stone, gravelord, covenants is a very nice feature.

I agree that there is room for improvement, and I think Fromsoftware will deliver.
