finally saw a revnent

i was summoned at the kiln and when we made it to the bridge there it was! i was so freaking happy up untill i killed it in two hits....i mean really all that waiting and its weak as hell?

Revnent? You mean a vagrant?

Yea he must mean a vagrant because I saw one there too. It was the first time I was ever summoned as a white phantom at the kiln...saw the vagrant, rushed at it, one-shot it and then fell right off the bridge!!!

Mind telling me what that is exactly the vagrant/revnent/whatever.

I have seen 3 in total now, killed by 2 got loot from one.. humanity ><

it was a red crab to those are suppossed to be strong.

by the way a vagrant is a creature that spawns in your world if someone dies before retrieving a good amount of humanity? or an item? maybe both im not to sure about witch.

I got sniped by one really early-on in the game, in the Undead Parish. Haven't seen one since, although I'll confess to trying to plant one in front of S&O's fog gate. I threw a few dozen crystal swords there and jumped off a cliff. Dunno if that does it or not, but it was better than having all those crystal swords.

I ditch items ALL THE FRIGGIN' TIME, hoping people get vagrants.
But I've never seen one. Is it just losing Humanity? The Wiki says items too.

the 1st 1 i say was before the patch it was small same size as 2 lizards and it was shooting blue balls at meh also it was blue not red it happened to me in new londo just before the 4 kings fight

only time i died to a vagrant was when it was on the thin path after the tower towards the 2 silver knight snipers, blocked my path long enough for a sniper to propel me off the side of the bridge

beyond that, only ever say them when i was summoned and they die pretty fast

(iirc, i believe there are actually 2 different ones, the small black crab thing that does the homing needle thing and another which i have never seen)

Well I must be pretty lucky cos I've encountered both types! The red only once in the forest and the whites at least 4 times

I've never seen one in more than 250 hours of play... There was a page with the type of vagrants and the places were they supposely should spawn and I always go to take a look but still haven't found any...

I've seen quite a few. Got one-shot from behind at 1800 hp by one that must've been at the altar in Undead Parish. I was sniping the Channeler and didn't see it (but heard the sound of its shot).

My last experience with one was AWESOME, though. I had invaded Lautrec, I ran all the way up top to heal. I saw a little one and attacked it. I figured it was a neutral one because my attacks did nothing. Lautrec and one of his buddies show up and the little thing actually fired at them!!! I was so happy. The soldier guy went to fight it and that gave me the opening to destroy Lautrec.

I had no idea those things would actually assist you in a fight!

Yeah - I have encountered a few of the evil (red) vagrants - most often at the Sunlight Altar in the Undead Parish. The first one I met near the alter almost got me like callipygias - but luckily the first salvo missed since I was near the bonfire. I have not encountered a good (blue) vagrant as of yet though.

They are very easy to kill - at least the little ones are. I have heard vagrants can get quite large if a large amount of souls and/or item(s) sits there for enough time. Usually you get humanity (twin/single) but I don't know what the reward would be for killing a large one.

It appears if you are an invader the vagrant is basically on "your side" so it can be used as an ally against the host. So if you invade and find a large one - you may want to lure the host into that area to see what happens! :shock: .

Oh, right! That makes sense. Didn't occur to me since I've never invaded anyone except Lautrec, so I never think of myself as an invader.

yea killed one my self today one hitt and got 1 hummanity from it

I have even heard the larger vagrants fire Homing Soul Masses instead of those dart like projectiles - appears they can do some real damage to a host. I hope someone eventually captures a large vagrant on video for all the world to see!!
