    What is everyones opinion on this weapon? It has nice horizontal slashing attacks and the bleed is always nice for PvP. It also has one (maybe two) thrusting attacks, giving a little bit of variety to the attacks.

    It scales poorly with Str and Dex ( C for both at +15) but could be really useful as a backup elemental weapon.

    I'm interested in using this for a Dex/ciaran lvl 99 build AS a backup weapon.

    According to Eli every attack it has deals thrust damage. Put on the leo ring for massive damage.

    i like it but the longsowrd is a lot better imo, i have only been bled twice and ive had dks since day one, bleed is useless if your opponent knows how to roll out of it.

    It deals pure thrust damage, meaning the Leo ring will give it more power. As well, it has bleed which you could use against turtling opponents. It would make for a good backup main-hand for your Ciaran build, and maybe as your off-hand backup you could use the notched whip or new whip to give yourself parries and keep yourself safe FROM parries.

    Same bleed as a katana with more stat investment and less damage. Why use it? I suppose it's a decent enchanted/occult path weapon for the added bleed, but I'd still claim a kat is a better weapon for that.

    Hmmmm I didnt see that the Gold Tracer had bleed. Seems like everyone is gonna be using it...

    And I dont think bleed is useless at all. Turtles will get slaughtered by it, and even just stick n move tactics benefit from bleed.

    Also if you have to make an opponent change their tactics to cope with the bleed, then your strategy is becoming superior to theirs.

    And finally if it makes someone stop and use red blossoms then it opens them up for backstabs, sorcery pyro etc.

    And I'm getting bored with the katanas. EVERY body uses them, so I'm gonna try something different.

    And I should clarify that I'm just making a Dex build because of the influx of dex weapons that are gonna come with the DLC. And Ciaran is
    preeeeety preeeeety badass.
