    so i've been checking out the new values of the mask of the father, going from 15% down to 5%.

    note*
    due to the way the it is calculated, it actually adds the weight on top of the already modified equip load

    with level 40 endurance, base equip load is 80, with 20 for fast roll.
    with the fap ring, it adds 16, bumping it up to 96, with 24 for fast roll.
    adding havel's ring, it adds 48, bumping it up to 144, with 36 for fast roll.

    now... calculating 5% of 144 + 7.2 = 151.2 x .25 = 37.8.
    mask of the father weighs 1.2 units. 1.2 - 37.8 = USELESS.

    what a blow.. well the mof is good for med rolls and sitting under 100% equip burden... and if you want to get rid of your helmet and gain fractions of a unit to fit something-
    BUT YEAH.
    NERF EVERYTHING.

    Mom rifter, the mom. With 1800 HP it adds 180 for 1980 HP, not too bad. Father was the most ugly anyways.

    see, what pissed me off about the mom mask (which i may be using too) is that while it did let people stack vit, it also let other players with LOW hp boost their hp to avoid getting completely obliterated by normal backstabs or just powerful regular attacks.

    now that it's been nerfed, only vit builds will see a real bonus from it (similar to endurance builds for mof now) where the low vitality builds that ACTUALLY NEEDED IT are left in the dust while their defenses are taking a hit but the weapon and spell damage stays the same.

    yeah thats a cool idea from.
    nerf the normal players and builds, let the undesired builds stay strong in comparison. i like it. /sarcasm.

    I don't understand what you are trying to say. I never made a build with MoF after my first PvP build. I always thought MoM was better.

    i use the masks. i backstab. i'm sure i use a lot of stuff that most people considered op or lame.

    i do it to stay as competitive as i can when i pvp.

    does that mean i enjoy it? no. in all honesty, i think the best route to this is either embracing it as it is or removing it entirely from the game. not empowering specifically focused builds and causing weakness in other builds that might not be as focused.

    just get rid of the dwgr, get rid of the masks and get rid of this fast roll mid roll bulls***, put it back to below and above 50%.

    I like fast roll and mid roll, it incentives going light, if you could move at top speed with some fairly strong armors everyone would do it, and everyone did, hence the DWGR's grotesque popularity.

    So you want people to be able to run around at SL 20 with Giants armor flipping around like it's going out of style?

    Why is a Vit Gouge build so undesirable? I would much rather fight someone with 99 Vit at level 120 than someone with 1000 health at level 30....

    so.. shifting the cookie cutter builds vs custom ones farther apart at a normal pvp level is fine as long as an already unbalanced sl bracket for pvp is slightly less imbalanced? (which is uaually not even good pvp, in reality its ganking questers)

    you get the point. i put like 30 seconds into that build hahaha.

    i mean if you and me can make one in less than a minute, three gankers combined should have something pretty damned close or worse within the first week.

    yeah, that build will be used by evey ganker in the forest and people in the burg, at least the elementals are getting nerfed again.

    i'm just dissapointed man..

    i came at this with some hope that most of the lame stuff would go away, but when i look closer at it it's really not gonna do jack s***.

    i was just hoping to be annoyed about updating my bbg but instead everything looks like it'll get f***ed up, it's like i looked inside my presents and i know i'm getting socks for christmas or something.

    whatever i'll still play dks because there's not to many games that can compare.. but it's just tiring.

    lol yeah, they nerfed the hornet ring but put in a dagger with 160 crtit, that thing is gonna be the new chaos rapier. i am disapponited in the whole thing tbh, i want them to work on a sequel, not some half assed dlc that namco probably made them do it. theres like 6 new weapons, and damnit only one str weapon(that i know off, not counting the bow)
    @wyrm, we have a new str/int we need to make for a new catalyst dude!!

    you can always do speed runs to get all the spells back to the normal amount, it will most likely be a sl 199 though.i can do a 120 i think, i will have to use the ga instead of my DGM.

    I think it would be nice if some of these bonuses from MoM and such items scaled not off your total value in the relevant stat but off Soul level perhaps. that would allow low vit builds to benefit without making it horrendously OP at low levels like elemental weapons are (which would be what a static increase would cause.)

    I had the thought earlier today that the extra equip weight of the MoF would actually neutralize the nerfed benefit of wearing it. That's absolutely crazy. Of course, if you have 99 End and a ton of burden it can be a help, but otherwise it's useless. What a terrible nerf, it actually made this the worst piece of headwear in the game beside the SoA

    That's actually a pretty weak build. Yeah it has a ton of health and fast roll, but it only has a ton of health and fast roll. 56 poise means a UGS stunlock, rather than the giants who had 76 poise in the past, and that nerfed elemental rapier (not included on mugenmonkey yet btw) will be a worthless weapon. WoG will be weaker with no dex for cast speed and only base req. faith. I'd love to tear a build like this apart, and as for ganking? It couldn't kill my SL 260 if I let it bs me twice. Looks like the lower poise will see my DGM in heavy use in the forest once more.
