Armour for a Conan Build?

Wanting to play as a 'barbarian'.

Looks are most important. That being said:

Large upper body
Bandit chest
Logan's Gloves maybe
Legs I don't know yet.
Helmet: perhaps the Royal Helm dropped by the fire blacksmith.

Weapons: Great Axe, BattleAxe, BroadSword.
Weight: Always fast roll.

No magic. Vit/end/high str/ dex

Anyone have suggestions on armour, weapons, or a build selection?

I would suggest armor in the DLC, I dunno how much you know of it.

I don't know anything about the DLC, except that the DWGR is fixed/nerfed (thank god).

And I would prefer to keep it that way.

@Pesth: that build looks awesome! The poise + great axe sucks, but who cares when you look wicked.

I would wait for the DLC also please get a mod to move this to PVP thats where build help discussions take place

No. This is for style. DWGR does not fit with a Conan build at all. Justifying something just to get a better pvp build isn't my style. Just like Eagle shield + a dude named Iron Tarkus was lame.

I wonder if the Hollow Soldier armour chest would look good...

nooooooooo!! brigand armor is the best for a conan build and the greataxe is amazing btw.

Great Axe + no poise = epic.

Think I'll have to invest in STR right away, then switch to END.

you could also try the battle axe which should fit the build better.

I pumped up dex to 40 because of the broadsword scalling, but if he trades it with a battle axe he will have 30 more points to spend in wathever he wants...

Hmm. Debatinging ATT of 10 to get 'Barbarian Rage' (power within).

lol damn i forgot to put in pw there, it fits the build perfectly.

Anything else you can think of? I know there's the 'real' Conan (Howard original version) which was realistic as far as his stories go, and then there's the Arnold influenced Conan in a loin cloth.

In dark souls, I can do with a lot of over the top, especially to make it seem like I'm a Barbarian. If only changing names on the xbox didn't cost money...

That's why I think I'll switch out RoFaP for Havel's to have the ability to use a Great Axe and still fast roll.

Most Conan comics/movies/pictures have him shirtless....

....just saying.

Here is the Conan build I used. It was awesome fun. And at the time was a pretty challenging PvE run-through for me, (my first shieldless build iirc).
