Maintaining Enthusiam!

So with all the DLC content out Im rapidly becoming more excited with whats to come.... but at the same time having trouble sticking with Dark Souls as is.

I mean I love this game so much. Probably one of my favourites of all time.

BUT how can I keep the game entertaining until the DLC?

I'm trying an SL 55 Anor Londo Terror invader build. Not sure how it will turn out but...

I'm taking a break after Friday tourney. I want to get done with various games before DLC hits, because once it arrives I won't be taking DkS breaks for about 6 more months.

I agree.

Perhaps I'll finish ME3 and then another playthrough with Liara as the romance option.

And I'll definately revisit Tales of Symphonia. But I always find myself drawn back to Dark Souls either because other games are too easy, even on Hard difficulty.

Honestly, I tend to go play something else. I bought Arkham City for a fiver the other day in the steam sale. Holy sweet jesus it's good. After a blast on that or Driver San Fran or something, I often find the siren song of Dark Souls calling me home and dust of the faith build for another round.

Another thing that really made my day recently was starting a co-op run of the whole game with a mate of mine. It's a very different game on voice comms with someone you know really well, especially when the inevitable invaders turn up

Ah and most not forget the war.

As far as keeping it interesting, I have a few different builds I use. Coop build, then go to 40 SL invading, then 55 SL, then hunting in the forest. Keeps it interesting for me.

I will be mainly be playing other games for the next two months(i still am a bit skeptical about the oct26th date, at least in NA). I will still pvp a bit here and there, so i don't get rusty. I'm probably going to finish FF13, maybe replay MGS4 for the trophies, got FF13-2 also. Along with some other games that deserve to be played, so that will keep me busy. Plus work and school....

Have you tried all the weapon categories Viral?

What about the weight categories?

I find what makes this game interesting to me, is PvP with my character changed. So I switch between my DWGR Ornstien build, to my Iron Tarkus Slow Roll, to my SL1 NG+ game... just playing differently.

If you've played most combinations, then yeah, it can be boring I guess. But I know some people just don't play slow roll, and I think it can offer quite a bit of fun.
