Glowing light.

Sometimes when i just play around in Dark Souls, i get a glowing light just if someone healed me whit an Estus flask. Has anyone else seen that? I think you also get ONE Estus flask when it happends but i don't know why...

It means estus spammage, someone might be in trouble, LOL.

this happens when someone kindle a bonfire near of you , u get + 1 estus too.

Really? I thought it was heavy estus drinking spammage, I almost always get it in high PvP areas.

Happened to me at a great time the other day in a... certain area. Was down from 5 to 1, no idea where the next bonfire would be, and suddenly someone triple-kindled their fire and I had 4 flasks. Awesome feature of the game.

To clarify, you don't actually get Estus +1, you get a one extra flask. James from Gamefront did a struggle-through of Dark Souls, at the beginning he would leave his PS3 on when he wasn't playing. So even though he'd have a maximum of 10 flasks, by the time he went back to play several people would've kindled that bonfire and he'd have 13 or 15 or whatever. It's a way to get up to 20 flasks without having the Rite of Kindling.

Yeah. You can actually use this to your advantage some times. Example: say you're going down to fight the 4 kings, but you're on NG+7 and need all the healing you can get. You can just sit around firelink shrine, then go off and do something or watch tv. Few hrs later, you should have a bunch of extra flasks.

Hopefully if you're on NG=7 at firelink shrine, you'll have kindled that bonfire completely by then haha.

Umm... yeah but it's not if YOU kindle the bonfire, if it's other people kindle the bonfire. When another person kindles a bonfire in an area you're in, you get +1 flask. So you can earn more than 20 flasks for difficult runs.

Um actually you're wrong. You can't ever have more than 20 flasks on you at one time. And I know how kindling/ getting extra flasks works so you don't need to explain it to me.

Sorry bro but youre the one thats wrong. I know for a fact ive gotten more than 20 from this. Now...maybe they patched it and it doent happen anymore or something but i KNOW its happened to me before.

I need proof. I've never seen or heard of this happening to anyone.

20 is the most, me and 4 other friends have never received another one from a kindle, and I asked them while playing (did you get my little estus love? No I'm at 20 already).

I have had 21 before. Dont really care if you believe me. May have been a glitch...may have been before the first patch i dont really remember when it was. It happened though. I remember it because i too thought 20 was max no matter what...didnt think to take a picture though. :roll:

However thinking about it I only remember it ever happening once. So that leads me to believe it was indeed a glitch.

I'll throw my hat in the ring: No sober person has ever had more than 20 Est. Not possible. Sit there doing co-op in an area with 20 flasks on you and you'll hear and see the bonus Estus animation but it'll never go to 21.

I had 25 one time on my first play through in the kiln. I believe this was before the first patch. I distinctly remember this because I first thought the lord vessel fire at kiln was special and went to 25. Then I was confused latter when it only went to 20

'll test this tonight, by hanging out at a bonfire that's usually kindled (the one outside Sen's Fortress). Will keep my xbox on all night and see what happens.

I believe it happened as a glitch which is why I asked for proof. It's not that I don't believe y'all (I'm from the south) when you say you saw it, I just don't think it's a normal game occurrence/mechanic without it being a glitch. Proof or no proof, I'll probably still believe you did see it once (but just as a glitch). Sorry if anyone got their feelings hurt in this thread.

Didnt hurt my feelings bud. As i said i thought about it and it only happened to me once so i think it was a glitch as well.
