is it just me?

so i have dark souls on ps3 and knowing that the pc guys have the new content i just dont feel like playing dark souls at all, last night i turned it on and i did nothing for 10 mins, after that i just turned off and completely forgot about dark souls which has never happened sisnce the first day it came out. how do you guys feel about this whole wait we have to go through?

I feel like I can't cope with any more of these threads, that's for sure :x

i really didnt wanna look at anything but i decided what the hell so i looked at them but mainly because i wanna see the new str weapons which might be no more than two so im really disappointed with that.

So you're disappointed with the DLC's content? or it's delayed release for consoles?

i am a little bit, but thats from hating on the str weapons i guess, idk. iirc they just announced the dlc is coming out on oct 26th which is too bad for them since im gonna be really busy with borderlandss 2 so i might get the dlc next year if ever.

I can't even play normal Dark Souls cause my Xbox died. So I get real annoyed when people start complaining that they gotta wait two months for DLC, when I can't even play the normal game. We've been enjoying it for ages now, no reason to stop during the next 2 months.

Also I get pissed with people assuming reasons on why they are delaying, and hating on FROM. For a start we have no idea why they are delaying it, it could be Namco for marketing(Doubt it).
Could be they are waiting on Sony/Microsoft to approve patches.
Could be the fact that they still had to finish some things off after finishing the PC version, and rather than releasing a buggy pile of trash they are trying to do it decently.

Personally, I don't care. PC users get the new stuff, for sure. And, that includes glitches as well and mods up the wazoo. I'm happy that we're getting DLC. Even better that the PC users will be the guinea pigs for us.

I feel no difference whatsoever. I enjoyed playing Dark Souls before I heard of this DLC, I will still be able to enjoy it now. The DLC as far as I am concerned, is just a supplement to the already great entertainment that From Software has provided for me. When it comes out, I will have even more fun playing Dark Souls.

the DLC adds weapons to everything, the new dex weapons is a lame BS dagger, and a weak falchon with bleed. i have no interest in either of those, so i could say Dex got no love also.

im glad there are not any new super weapons, that would ruin the game imo

yeah, the pitchfork thing looks like it could be good for a 40/40 build though, maybe its cause im just bored of dark souls i guess, you can only play a game for so long and im really excited about borderlands 2!

I've posted elsewhere the ridiculous exteme I went to so I could play the new content a couple months early. I think if I hadn't gotten it I would've taken a break for a while, though probably not the full 2 months.

Well all my saves got corrupted, so I'm not bored in dark souls.

Lol I think this is he only game where people that get their saves corrupted are glad cause they get to start from scratch.

it messed up even with the forums, now there are only "SPOILERS" and people worried and frustrated about the dlc release.
I've been 15 days without playing dark souls because I really couldn't, now I can and I must say I've lost a bit of my excitement

Think of it this way: The more threads about the DLC means less threads complaining about gankers and generally bemoaning the difficulties of life as an invader in Dark Souls. This is like a forum holiday, as far as I'm concerned. I'm loving it.

Pretty much the same here Rant, I almost completely Swore off the series because of how they are handling the release. The divide of PC and Console players is so monumental now. Not to mention the amount of content that has been spoiled for us. I would have much rather discovered everything first hand, but I essentially know more of the story than people playing the PC version and it really irks me. Maybe its more so the community I'm angry with.

Regardless how Namco handled the release schedule of the weird DLC that the community petitioned, From can have my money for any future souls games.

See, I just don't know. I don't even know if I'll buy the DLC when it comes out because of how this was handled. I know there really won't be a divide again, because now they've got every major gaming platform.

Unless they do a Mac release.

But the way this happened just leaves the whole company sour in my view, it's so terrible for the consumer. I know it was smart on their side, but does that mean I should just brush it off and say "It's fine they treated me poorly, they have a business to run." I still think, "They treated me poorly." It would be the same if the PC version came out without new content, and then the console got the DLC 2 months in advance. I'd be arguing, "It's not fair for our PC brothers."

I hear you, Tolvo. I think they've got some fences to mend, I don't ask for much, just a genuine gesture would be nice. As such, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that this mistake was a one-off, despite the severity of said mistake.

yep, might get it next year since all the good games are coming out soon and by good games i mean borderlands 2 lol, this generation of games has been meh, come on people step your game up!! s/nes and ps1 were the best.

I think I might just go for Saints Row 3 instead of the DLC probably.

is that one of those "sandbox" games? the last one i got was vice city, theyre al the same thing its gets boring so fast, i did love red dead redemption but im a sucker for the whole western theme.

RDR was great, and yeah. Just think of it as silly and not serious to the extreme. There are giant dildos as weapons, and you can dress as a panda and hijack alien ships and attack gangs with it.
