    Does the shield deflect effect any other weapons??? Like katanas? Great swords??? Ect... I don't want my easy set up parry not work any more because of a deflection.,

    I've been defecting players pretty consistently with my greatshield, but from now on I'll post whenever I deflect something from a player.

    I should try it out, the extra weight I could save would make it easier to carry a back up weapon.

    It helps a lot. Decent shield too if you need to block a hit. I either go darkhand or use an offhand weapon that can parry if I feel like dual wielding. It's got a solid parry window and recovery though.

    As long as I don't miss the stamina regen.. and it would add a lot of style points with my chaos blade.

    what about a two handed spear? does that still bounce off? plus the deflection rate varies between shields. so... against med shields how does a spear do? (i ask because an awseom looking new one was found!)
