Also, I may use the leo ring and it says in the description that it only boosts PHYSICAL damage. Does this mean that the lightning damage from the demon's spear isn't counted? Opinions are appreciated...

What kind of build are you running? If it's high dex you should go with the SK spear. The winged spear hits harder, but length is the most important factor for an offhand spear, and in that case the Silver knight spear is almost unrivaled. The Demon's spear is weaker and benefits more from a 40/40 build, but it's also very long, and a lot of people see offhanding it as annoying. If you're a Str build, use an elemental pike for the range, it's the longest of the normal path spears.
And yes, the leo ring only applies to physical damage. The lighting damage is not counted

if you've got a lot of strength and dex then go demon's.
if you're rocking lots of dex then go winged.
compare the values in mugenmonkey if you can't decide.
demon's spear has the best range of the spears but it hits like a wet sock.

If you've the stats for the demon's spear, by all means. The purpose of offhand is to compliment the main weapon/strategy and/or surprise the target. If you can't do that with the demon's spear, go elemental partizan. Less range but quite effective at getting people to back off.
With your stats the demon's spear is more than adequate for just pokes and distancing.

Distancing and poking is what im going for. Strategy is to get them to roll into me and swing...baiting a parry basically...

on your build your spear is in your left hand, same as your shield.

I would use SKS in off hand. Menu swap the GC and if you are gonna use it 2 handed then upgrade it normal.

And you can't swap during any attack animation. Meaning that if he rolls in and you try to swap, you're taking the hit.

Didn't consider the SKS i guess. And i know its range rivals the DS. Just have to test to see which hits harder...

The SKS will hit harder I'm sure, it's shorter than DS though. If GC is going 1 hand then yeah it's better elemental (I think so). You can also use a mura with those stats, it's a great off hand weapon.
