If there is one thing this game can teach us it's how to be patient.

As part of my SL1 run-through I finally decided to take on O&S this morning, and on the first attempt with the Knight Solaire's help we managed to kill skinny, and get fatty down to less than a quarter of his starting health, before my **** took over and I ended up eating his bloody great big hammer. 🇳🇴

Conscious that I was in danger of running late for work, I then failed a further two times trying to rush through the win, and on both occasions both little and large owned me outright. 🇳🇴

The moral of this story, if you wish to make any lasting progress in this game take your time to plan things out before taking on the big guys/girls, and leave yourself plenty of time to execute your plans, otherwise this game is gonna make you it's b.... each and every time! twisted

I'm really interested in doing a SL1 playthrough.

First order of business: Decide on a weapon. Something that isn't affected by stats too much, and grab 2. One for fire/chaos, one for lightning.

The Battleaxe and the Reinforced Club dish out the best base damage, and so I opted for the Battleaxe. So far I have one at +2 Lightning, and the other at a plain old +10, which I plan to eventually convert to a +5 Chaos, but currently use buffed with Fire/Poison.

I think I'd take the club or the handaxe, since the speed of the battleaxe is a bit slow for my liking for a SL1 (plus the stamina drain).

on my SL5 playrun i'm using the longsword and a shortbow

I have a lightning battle axe, chaos hand axe, a +14 reinforced club for buffing, a lightning light cross bow, and a fire dagger! also a divine hand axe for the pesky catacomb skeles!

lol! my arsenal for my SL 5 run is

    +5 lightning longsword
    +5 Fire Broadsword
+5 Raw Battle Axe (has proven to be very helpful in the areas before queelag, and with queelag too)
    +5 divine hand axe
    +9 Fire Shortbow
    +15 Pyromance Gloves

EDIT: no BB glitch on this char

    That's it. I'm doing a SL1 Darkwraith run.

Going to likely do a Handaxe and possibly a Reinforced Club, Raw+5 before having access to other weapons.

Going to be fun, and I think I'll have a ton of souls to spend on gear.

And don't forget to try beating the bosses on your on, without the help of summons, it's quite satisfying to beat then on your on (it was to me when i killed the O&S duo)

4 kings is the funnest fight as an sl1! I wish I could be able to reset the boss so I could fight them over and over again!

On my SL 8 run this is exactly what happened to me except I only died because, for the very first time that fight, he followed up his firt attack with a second. So me thinking Im safe I run in adn get one shot by his second attack.
