This is the character I have decided to take onto Dark Souls Prepare to Die:

Its quite simple, and straightforward, a great mix of things I love and things that are effective. This build is not in question and I love it to death.
However, you may or may not be aware, I'm a huge fan of removing the DWGR (I seem to notice a lot are, please don't discuss that ring here), if anything, just because it makes the game so much easier. I also am in favor of removing the Ring of Favor and Protection, for a similar reason. Even though almost all my builds use them, its just amazing how omnieffective it is. It's not really for OP reasons, but, once again, it makes the game a good deal easier, and I prefer to force a bit of diversity in the PvP land. I'm sick of the effectiveness of DWGR+RoFaP, its nuts and I want them both to be removed.
That's why you're here, I am happy with the armor, the lack of spells, the weapons, and the shield, but I don't know which ring to add in exchange for this build here, the no-RoFaP one. Although its unlikely to be removed, and I will honestly use it if it's there, I wanted to prepare for this, and not be blind-sighted if it did happen.
Here is the build:

I do not want to change anything about it, just that ring. I'm open to suggestions, but I'd prefer to know why you said what you said too.
Also, I have considered the effectiveness of the Estoc over the Mail Breaker, and the Composite Bow over the Short Bow and considered this build, if you put your vote for Havel's Ring, then you choose this build.

If you didn't notice, I'm a perfectionist. Must have 100% full haha!
Lastly, this isn't truly PvP focused 100%, but since I am in doubt I will die against the enemies, even in Prepare to Die, that's its primary look. If it has effectiveness in PvE that's important to me too though. I don't really make PvP or PvE builds, just both.
I found it interesting that its much harder to choose both rings when the quite effective RoFaP is removed and you don't use magic.
