T-Rex vs Tank Empty T-Rex vs Tank

    Post by DeCeleRator93 Thu Aug 16, 2012 4:55 pm

So me and some friends had a stupid question the other day who would win between a T-Rex and an M1 Abrams Tank. What do yall think and give some reasoning behind your answers.

T-Rex vs Tank Empty Re: T-Rex vs Tank

    Post by skarekrow13 Thu Aug 16, 2012 5:05 pm

So here's my overly scientific answer.

Most likely the tank since I'm confident the main weapon and likely the secondary ones as well could do some damage. Range is definitely a selling point too since the T-Rex needs to be chomping distance. The only other attack it would reasonably have would be to step on the tank. The T-rex, estimated at up to 12,000 lbs probably couldn't do sufficient crush damage. I mean they've modified tanks to carry bridges, so they can take some weight. Plus the T-Rex posture wouldn't likely be sufficient to generate a good stomp to a vehicle over half it's hip height as well. I doubt a bite would do anything to it either. The only possible victory would be that the T-Rex is indeed too heavy for the tank and it somehow managed to climb on top of it unscathed (or even die on top of it) and the tank then burns it's motor out and causes a fire trying to get away. Again though, I'm pretty confident the tank can carry the weight.

The T-Rex is already extinct. Hence, the Tank wins by default!

What about this? You are on an Island ..... and to get off you have to fight one of two people.

You can choose Godzilla or Muhammed Ali after he found out you slept with his wife.

Current Cassius Clay or in his prime? Also, boxing rules or island warfare?

So here's my thinking. Godzilla is a fast death which is only preferable to a slow death. In his prime and boxing rules Ali will kill me but I'll suffer. Current state I feel I have a shot. Island warfare rules possibly too. I can make pretty nice bows actually, strings and arrows. A couple sneak attacks and maybe I live.

M1A2 Abrams smashes dinosaur with armor piercing tank shell to face, Godzilla and I win by pointing him towards Tokyo so he can go home, and Doctor beats everything end of story.

Force choke + Entire division of storm troopers.
Doctor gets out of everything by talking, as seen in episode IV(Captain Achilles) Vader doesnt let enemies talk much.

I am aware the doctor would not do that. I am simply pointing out that power over time > any human being force sensitive or otherwise.
there are lots of ways he could kill him off with less collateral damage I suppose.

but the doctor has altered the fate of galaxies before in the name of the concept of "good" has he not? he is a bit of a hypocrite.
and the empire is certainly not good.

Plus the Empire got their rears handed to them by some Teddy Ruxpin's that happened to have some sticks and rocks. Dr. Who could just get some plush toys and that would be the end of that.

P.S. I love Star Wars episodes IV-VI but still find Ewoks to be odd
