But what's to stop me from simply going back to the old profile when I get bored? Esoteric metaphor incoming, but it's like saying having the option to move your cursor's default position off of "auto-battle" in FFXIII makes the combat actually engaging. It doesn't, I just have to press up once and I can still hit "auto-battle!"

Secondly then you have 2 options, get a second PS3 or delete your account.
Its just a matter of willpower. If you are willing to delete them i think you can resist going back to them.

If you do delte them it'll be ok, you'll probably cry a little less then the first time you fought O&S alone thinking it was just another boss battle.
I would really do the alt accunt. Ps3 is so awesome like that. Plus, you could make a creative name to go with it. Think of it.... 'godz!la has invaded' you know how many little asians you could freak out. Just have to do it in a dragon form of course.
