Dragon Scales, duel or farm?

Does anyone know the fastest way to get Dragon scales? I'd rather win them through Dragon Cov duels, but are they frequent enough that I'm going to see a decent amount of action, say in the Burg or Moonpit? I don't care if it takes longer than farming the drakes, it's far, far less boring. So for anyone in the dragon covenant, are the duels fairly frequent? Gathering 30 Humanity as a DW isn't a huge deal, it takes a while but it's pretty guaranteed, not to mention fun. But if the dragon duels are so much slower, I think I might have to suck it up and farm for the scales.

Also, it's a bit funny that we would even call slaying brutal, dangerous monsters "farming". Has dragon slaying really fallen that far?

Ah well I got a dragin cov char, and frankly i don't really see much action. People rarely summon dragon covs.

Every dragon remnant I see I summon. I'm pretty sure in high traffic areas they get summoned fast.

Though remember, they can see an image of your character before summoning. So dress appropriately, I'm much less likely to summon someone using a generic all too common build.

Drop your sign at the Kiln/Burg/Moonpit and see if have any luck.

I always try to summon dragons too but I don't know if the majority of players do. I'm not in the cov yet, but I'm going to join and try it. Still need to kill the Hydras too for the scales.

Try it in the burg, that's where i get the most action with the eye.

I agree with burg, you'll have to be in a major pvp duel hotspot, normal places won't work because they can only summon you if they are alone, and many players have another player with them.
