eww thats even worse than double BSing.

Never happened to me, but this
another time I stood and rolled as soon as my pivot started into theplayer waiting behind me, and mid roll my guy turned around and was chainstabbed as if the enemy player had bsd me standing during my animation.
sounds like lag switch or lag teleporting

Happens all the time in ganks, it's not exactly new. It's probably got to do with latency issues.

Outside of going to Hollywood to stop a movie about a comic book based off you by hitch-hiking, getting picked up by a quartet of female jewel thieves (and falling in love with one) that use you as decoy by stealing a monkey (and thinking the one you love died) AND when you get to Hollywood to stop the movie, you decide against it for likeness royalties, AND THEN using that money to buy plane tickets to go to every laggy persons house to kick there ***.

That aside there is nothing you can do about lag.

Im assuming Rifter wanted to do some testing on chain stabds or lag stabs or group stabs or whatever and people just seen terms they didn't like so started gettin out the pitchforks :/

the effects of heavy lag on phantoms.

i'd done testing, posted the results and someone downvoted it.

i've got my results and will do more, but if people don't want to see it it's no problem to me, saves me some typing.

well i need to test it more, a couple of runs with a japanese host in the darkmoon gardens doesn't really cut it.

but basically i found that if theres lag to the host, the invulnerability when standing up starts to go away, and getting chainstabbed or simply hit with an attack causes damage.

obviously the parry frames got bumped back a little too..

and i found that kicks act extremley laggy, hitting the player away behind me even a second later after the initial kick.

i also noticed that while melee attacks would ignore the invulnerability, spells we're still effected normaly. with one exception, fire surge would hit them... so i thought maybe fire surge was acting similarly to the r1 and r2 attacks of weapons.

due to the slight or complete loss of the invulnerability, i realized that simply standing up without touching anything and parrying DIDN'T work as well as it should have, and rolling towards them during a pivot while standing led to them simply turning my character around and backstabbing me, where this is normally a counter.

landing chainstabs was almost too easy as a phantom as well.. performing a simple sprinting chain stab as they where standing led to almost 100% guarentee chainstabs over and over. (for all the haters i used it on someone spamming divine blessings). when i did it i chainstabbed someone 3 times consecutivley as they tried using the normal means of escape for chainstabs.

there was 4 players in the game when this happened, and a lot of lag.

STILL, i haven't tested this enough.

Keep at it. If you find a good lag strategy It'll be interesting to hear.

well, i found that kicks where acting extremley weird.

i tried kicking a phantom as he was backstabbing the host- during his backstab.

oddly enough the player finished his animation and then bounced back almost half a second after i had kicked him.. so to protect your team mates from chain stabs and yourself during laggy situations, kicks act VERY weird.. fire surging them as they're standing will show you when they lose their invulnerability as well, as going by time or movement isn't reliable anymore..

oh.. and using heavy attacks that hit multiple times during a swing, like stabbing motions or katana swing- or perhaps even fire surge seem to bust the invulnerability.

    i think that's the cause.

and by multiple attacks i mean like.. how when you hit a dieing person with a cblade you can kill yourself by losing solid CHUNKS of your hp. the swing wants to hit multiple times.
